New blooms are coming soon…

A story as delicious as a good dinner… In my original plans for my company, I designed Café Amor Milagre. The idea is a plant-based, vegan, organic, European peasant-style, garden-fresh café to accompany my shop. As my store is online, my upcoming cookbooks will teach how to bring our kitchen to yours with simply delicious recipes. We adore this custom home café that we have nearly finished building at our Rose Cottage. I’ll keep my original company plans, perhaps to open up later on down the road. The world can really use more of this type of dining. We never eat out, so we made our own restaurant at home, growing plants in the garden for our daily food.
I love to lounge by our grand new windows that look onto the morning’s dewy flowers and herbs, write a new story, share a funny teatime with my family, and dream in the evening sconce lamplight. Simple peaceful pleasures build up a beautiful life…and story. I’ve written so many books this summer, and every day there are three more. Now, I just have to catch up on printing them all so you can enjoy them, too! I’m out of ink and journals, and my poor hand needs a break. But then, oh!
I will publish more treasury compilation-style books going forward as printing costs are high. My shop uses sustainable materials, which do cost more for me, but the preservation of nature is vital. In general, the cost of everything now is quite high. I design my products to be as affordable as possible. I don’t believe that high prices elevate works of art. I believe in equality. In making affordable collections, everyone is invited. With treasury books, my readers can enjoy many stories within one book. Quick, connected readers will really appreciate this type of book. Reread these new classics over again. This will be the new format for some of the children’s book collections and the Self-Health Novelettes. I do have some books that I’ll release on their own as they have specific illustration designs that need a certain book shape or size. Some novels, like The Love Letter Diaries, already contain four seasonal books within one volume. I will keep that style for the second year/volume of that series.
As our renovations wind down, I will release many new artwork and stationery pieces and collections. If only the computers could keep up with my brain, I’d be all caught up. That is my process though…true thought and handmade creative works, inspired by nature. Cherish the real, the natural, yourself.
Children’s meals are easy to assemble and beautiful with whole foods, such as these nuts. I love how the walnuts look like owls. The senses relish in the shapes, scents, textures, flavours, and colours of natural plant foods. Let children design their own lunch and flavour combinations. Little chefs always come up with something we haven’t tried yet!
Design Tip for A Calming Space: If you group ‘like’ items, or items that you use together, on a tray then the visual clutter goes away and you have a sensually pleasing atmosphere. Store unneeded items out of sight. Have a focal point, and let it be useful. Try it in any room. Do you feel more relaxed?
What is a soup? Easy. Add fresh vegetables to a pot, add some spices, add water. Cook. Enjoy! (My cookbooks include a few more details, but try it!) Last evening, I wrote a story near a simmering tomato fennel soup. Our custom kitchen design was intended for just this moment. For this one, I will puree it. For our regular weekly recipe, we don’t. These simply nourishing soups are versatile and help sustain your week. Delicious recipes, such as these, are featured in my upcoming vegan, organic, sugar-free cookbook. Enjoy soup every day of the year to boost health and relax, knowing that you always have a good dinner waiting for you!
I love gentle rain showers and slow cooks. If a recipe is going to take a while, it can do it on its own. We’re quite busy, so minimal steps and a house filled with a gorgeous subtle scent is my design. The buzzing machines that I do not love do not live in our kitchen. They live on the other side of the door, in the pantry. We also made sure to research the quietest ones. The pantry, mudroom, and a full bath/laundry room are our next renovation projects to finish this fall/winter. Yes, every inch of the house and gardens… Sensitive design considers your whole health and how the senses work. I design to keep and boost energy, not zap it away. Even our clocks don’t tick, and why should they? Check back to see how we have done this to our entire Rose Cottage.
I’m happy that we are finishing up our last rooms. We deserve a break to watch the flowers grow and have little dates in our cosy café. Last night, we had a half-date half-measuring party. Just us two…and I do love it when my husband says…”I have a design question for you.” Get out the pencil and paper…let’s figure it out. Can you tell that we like a bit of a puzzle?
If your children need something to do this weekend, consider a little scavenger hunt with clues on notepaper leading to a surprise..or even just to breakfast! Our family loves to do things like this. The mind loves to learn and be useful. Recipes are a versatile way to keep your senses moving. Growing and preparing organic food is a wonderful puzzle to practice.
Love, ~ Amor Milagre

New Helpful Stories are Coming Soon
In the evenings, scenes spill out and characters breathe life. Brushes sway and paint glistens in lamplight. A word can change your direction. An image can inspire a change in the wind. A voice can help the universe.
Fellow Authors, your work is powerful. Make it positive. Let’s turn this around and let it all be wonderful and safe. End the violence. Communicate love.
If you can spare any amount, please donate to helpful causes. The women and lost children of the world needed help yesterday. Use your empathy to help others survive. Save lives, prevent trauma and illness, and heal the world’s next generation of people, plants, animals, energy, water, earth, and air for a positive future.
Give Peace, Love ~ Amor Milagre
This is the week of the foxglove, buttercup, peony, iris, pollinator-loving wildflowers, lavender, and the first rose bloom. The soft, pillowy petals are beloved by all wildlife. It rains, bathing fuzzy stems in shining dew. We visit each bloom as it unfurls. The flowers are helped by glistening insect friends and greet the clouded sun, “Good morning!” This is an especially magical time to study and write about the poetry of nature… and of the self. Our lessons are taken into the garden with a cup of tea and an umbrella.
Sense all around your lovely being. How do you feel? What kind of messages are whispering to you?

Happy Last Days of June! Love, ~The Botanists at Rose Cottage, Amor Milagre
With each season, our garden renovation design grows in fuller than the last. We replaced lawns with perennial flowers and edible organic plant foods. We made fun pathways to explore under arches of towering stems and sweet blooms. The low buzzing hum increases, and new winged friends stay a while.
Scatter seeds and wait for your gorgeous surprise! Life awaits…
Let other flowers hold up earlier bloomers…they help as they grow…no prop sticks or twine needed!
Our first sense of the new flowering trees’ beautiful blooms! Stars! (Kousa Dogwood)
Sweet as June, an English Rose…heavenly scent…
Planting beds of flowering, fragrant thyme with many pollinator-loving flowers in between is a sustainable way to replace lawns, enjoy your garden, encourage wildlife, and always have healthy organic herbs for the kitchen! July blooms are coming soon…but we’ll sit and hum with these first…

A cloud is not just one colour.
A leaf is not one either.
Nature is always flowing, changing, and embracing itself, learning from the last second and moving forward to the next.
Dear Humans, we all need to catch up with the raindrops and waterfalls…
and embrace who you are today.
If you are going grey, show grey.
Be a moon goddess or moon god. Age naturally, lovingly, and gracefully at every age. Get back to nature, appreciate all the colours, and unwind from the world’s specific and too often toxic views on beauty. Let your natural beauty show, lessen the pain, prevent illness, and reduce the endless repetition of taught routines that never really let you feel like you measure up to the current ideal beauty standards. Look back at beauty trends…it is ridiculous and very unhealthy. Every baby is beautiful and grows and changes like a tree or a flower. Isn’t it extraordinary when we see an especially unique plant? Why not have the same attitude and mindset for human beauty?
I grew up in a hair salon, and was taught to ‘be’ and look a certain way. I felt constantly harassed about it, thus creating a ‘hopeless’ self image that I ignored because I couldn’t care that much about something that was not attainable, especially because I did not agree with it. I like nature, trees, and being myself. I never listen to bullies, but harassment of any kind does somehow separate you from yourself in ways. I have had white silvery grey hair since I was young, due to trauma and shock from extreme illnesses. I was taught to hide this hair with hair colour. Hair colour, no matter what kind, is toxic and creates illness…short & long term. There are carcinogens in hair colour formulas. The smell alone is a sign it is unhealthy. It causes instant sensory reactions and migraines. When free of these teachings, (and I do deeply regret not protesting from the start), I let it grow out, and have adjusted to the beautiful colours that are my hair now. After all that has been going on in my life, the unnecessary illness and limitations, I just feel happy to even have hair. There is so much preventable illness in the world, and so much unnecessary suffering, shame, and judgement about appearances. Is the world ready to get to know itself, under the surface?
With healthy organic minimal care, my hair is strong again and beautiful like moonlight. I do support and encourage all people to stop editing and hiding themselves. It is not in your best interest, and will not add real confidence or real happiness. Whole health means building a connected way of living that is helpful and not harmful. Choosing things in your life is important, and real awareness for what is truly positive energy needs to surface for all. At the very least, give children a choice with full information about toxicity and immediate and long-term effects. It has been good to see more people celebrating their grey in recent years. It is time for the world to show its true colours and love them all!
It is amazing when you have a child and realize…hey…I wasn’t so hideous! I am beautiful…like this precious angel I get to take care of each day. I have always respected and cared for myself, but I don’t want to ‘fit in’ with, what is to me, the world’s toxic mess. I never spent time focusing on ‘beauty’ as the world sees it because there is not one ‘perfect’ look. Illness can also open your heart to only focus on important things, like surviving. Make sure you don’t believe toxic criticism because everyone is beautiful, no matter what anyone says. Bullying needs to be completely done. It makes no sense and has so many long-term effects on a person’s life and choices. Don’t try to limit someone’s thoughts and life path because you are insecure. Heal yourself. If someone is bullying you, you need to get help.
If you choose to grow your natural hair colour out, no matter what shades, textures, and combinations it reveals itself to be, be patient with yourself, know you are a part of nature, and love all of you for you are beautiful just the way you are. A healthy trim is a good idea to start your process out with a healthy choice. Eat healthy foods, stretch, breathe, and get rest. Let go of negative thought patterns. It takes time for natural hair to grow out. Come up with a phrase if you feel impatient during the in-between phase. Positive affirmations work if you are sincere. Find nourishing products (organic, non-GMO, vegan, non-plastic), if you need anything at all, like coconut oil and a good sustainable wooden brush for your specific hair type. Be gentle, because hair is delicate. No matter how much hair you have, a healthy scalp is important. Massaging in some organic scalp oil can help stimulate hair health.
I believe in healthy, informed habits and routines. I try beyond my best to take good care of myself and my family. I self-educate, and we are always learning, adapting, and changing. Replacing unhealthy habits and choices with better ones is not scary or miserable. It is something to be embraced and adored. Take pleasure in caring for yourself. Explain to children why you use certain things and do special things so they understand ‘choices’. They need to make their own choices. The world needs to know what people are really like naturally, and stop shaming others into trying to appear as someone else. Be your authentic self.
This text is from one of my upcoming healthy books, and I hope it helps you to adore every strand of hair you have, no matter what colour it is. Adore every freckle, every smile line, and keep smiling! If your hair is curly, let your curls dance in the breeze. Spend your precious time with Nature, and by doing so, you can learn how to love yourself even more each day.
As an empath, it hurts so much to be in this world…to feel everyone fight and fuss. Why? Equality is needed. End judgements of all kinds, for every colour is beautiful. Let the world include everything that is in the world. End racism, end sexism, end pollution, end abuse, and end toxic energy. Stop the violence and prevent illness. Heal. What are you spending your time on? Rethink how you think. Shed toxic traditions and thoughts. Are you building something good, or redoing harmful routines? Enjoy the beauty all around and within us for there is so much of it!
Get to know your true self, and there you will find confidence, a positive body image and mindset. Inspire yourself to take the best care of you.
