Golden & Earthen: The Enchanted Tree: New Children’s Book & Art Collection

Amor Milagre Shop Golden & Earthen The Enchanted Tree New Children's Book & Art Collection Coming Autumn 2019 Black Ink Gold Dust amormilagre.com

Rain drips from golden leaves outside my window.  Last night, I watched them dance in the windy night and I painted my first picture in our new home, at Christmas Rose Cottage.  Inky gold dust sang a lullaby, and a release of joy to be useful again burst from brushes and charcoal!  Another followed, and an entire story filled hungry pages.  A children’s book and artwork (originals, art prints, and stationery) for this fresh fall collection will breeze into the shop this week & more this Autumn.

The golden pieces catch the light so you Live in the Light from morning to night.  The Figure Drawing Collection will grow and be added into Golden & Earthen, as well as other categories.  The collections are not only seasonal, but rather they grow as the years dance on and as positive memories are made here at Amor Milagre.  This year, many collections will be released, several who have been waiting patiently for us to move and unpack.  The Enchanted Tree is like these collections in the encouragement and Love for Nature and A Gentle Life!  It is lovely for all ages.  More Soon, XOXO ~Amor Milagre

Home & Garden Renovation Design Diaries & Tips: Right Plant Right Place

Shop Amor Milagre Garden Redesign Home & Garden Renovation Right Plant Right Place Autumn 2019 blue hydrangea Ethical Romantic Gift Collections amormilagre.com

‘The right plant in the right place’ gardening principle is all about choosing the right plant, that you love, and placing it in the right conditions (soil, wind, air, water, sun, temperature, etc), but also in the right place in the garden.

Our house renovations extend into the garden as the overgrown shrubs and trees were placed too near the house walls, windows, and doors years ago.  Choosing the right plant for the expected mature growth is also very important.  Yes, all the baby plants look tiny and darling when you first tuck them into their new beds, but oh how they will grow!  The plants in our garden here are over 30 years old and many look lovely as a hedge border, but too many are sick because they are too near manmade structures and are not getting the proper amount of light and air circulation.  House foundation and siding issues are common for old houses that have large, deeply rooted, plants too near the house walls.  This week, we’ve been busy removing such large plants, but it’s sad to cut any living plant.  For empaths, it hurts.  It’s very important to choose and place your plants in a well-planned spot because they spend their whole lives striving, growing, and surviving the conditions you place them in, only to be cut down at their beautiful peak.

Everyone can design their gardens with the knowledge of plants so that we may look out the windows to admire them, sit amongst them with a cup of tea, take care of them over a long loving lifetime, and so they may proudly grow in beauty and age undisturbed.  Research your plants before you add them into the Earth, move them, prune, or remove them.

*All ages enjoy Nature, gardening, and plants.  Nature calms the nerves, solves problems, and restores us to our real Selves.  This state opens our ‘Light of Love’ up to the knowledge of the Universe, and this helps us, here, in our daily lives.  Be kind to your plants and they will continue to take great care of you, too.  Live in Nature, where life makes sense…Shop Amor Milagre Garden Redesign Home & Garden Renovation Right Plant Right Place Autumn 2019 Ethical Romantic Gift Collections amormilagre.com

Plants provide beautiful sound barriers as well as creating fresh oxygen for us all.  They are dependable homes for all living animals and insects, and inspire us to live outside more.  If you do have to cut branches, place them in the woods or in a spot in your garden to make a nice organic compost pile.  This also makes a nice home for your garden dwelling wildlife.  Today, we made a kind of burrow stack in the side woods and invited all the animals and faeries to nestle in before Winter.  Back into the Earth to renew and provide nutrients for a most precious gift, Soil.

How difficult are the roots to remove?  Probably very as that is their beautiful design.  Will everyone like the plants you’re adding?  Yes, at some point, we all move on and new gardeners come in.  It’s tricky to please everyone as plants keep our connections and memories, but if we let go and sense the plants as they truly are, we can appreciate them as they are, connected in Nature.  We couldn’t help but notice that rhododendrons are tricky ones.  Roots spreading sideways like walking trees…so many roots and shoots.  These plants need space, so next to a house is not a good place for them, especially if left to grow into a hedge.

Our new garden plans are coming up so please stay tuned!  In the meantime, take a wander outside into the botanical world and browse your library.  Experience the marvels of Nature.  You can save seeds and spread Nature everywhere again, while keeping in mind to preserve our silly manmade structures, so we use less of Nature’s resources to rebuild our neglected, non-living contraptions.  Exploring how Nature grows proves human invention nonsensical.  How truly smart Nature is…how she weaves all her creations together in such a harmonious world of inclusiveness.  We are the ones who are getting in her way.  Oh, how I wish I were the wind, a snail, a fox, or a more natural human…perhaps I once was and will be again…but for now, I’ll take care of her and us.  Happy Nature Explorations!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

Home Renovation Design Diaries: Good Morning, Christmas Rose Cottage

Shop Amor Milagre Autumn 2019 Ethical Romantic Gift Collections beach acorn seaweed mermaid garden tree amormilagre.com

For months prior to moving, I planned the designs for our new home.  Only after removing the layers of days lived before could I recognize this house as our home.  Good Morning, Christmas Rose Cottage!  We’ll help you to be a cozy reverie before the winter holidays visit.

The dusty & dysfunctional:  curtains, carpets, plumbing, fixtures, cabinets, windows, doors, and heating system need removing, updating, and fixing.

This month’s renovations include:

  • New flooring (cork underlay and FSC Certified sustainable engineered wood flooring)
  • Editing the gardens to allow for Spring bulbs and new garden designs
  • Updating bathrooms
  • Washing Windows
  • Testing Heat Efficiency
  • Parging textured walls and fireplace
  • Paint swatches everywhere including the exterior, patching, and painting
  • Measuring for new furniture, designs to build, and lighting
  • A general unpacking of our things and tidying/selling of things left behind

There is much to do and little time, but the breeze is lovely and Autumn is letting her hair down in golden leaves.  More renovation inspiration to come.  Happy Autumn Leaf Enjoying Days and Happy Renovating to those walking in our dusty shoes!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

New Home Renovation Design Diaries: First Dusty Days

In the midst of our sneezing party, carpets and curtains caked in age old dust make a swift exist through our newly seen doors.  We explore the light and air in each room, finding secrets and mysteries of the house, cleaning along the way, and leaving paint marks behind like rainbow snails.  Boxes pile to the ceiling, revealing more work to be done, and things, here and there, are tucked into their new place.  New appliances test the nerves of old fixtures.  A garden tour reveals seeds from Summer blooms.  The ‘have you seen the’ and “just over there please’ echo about our new home.  We learn new sounds and are thrilled to have left the old ones behind.  Autumn greets us in every window.  We are very pleased with the sounds of air in the gorgeous garden trees, (open windows), and more renovation design journal posts will travel to your inbox soon, (subscribe below).  Our first calm day ever is here, and our times ahead will be even better once we soothe this old heating system’s sore throat to ensure our sweet, quiet dreams.  Happy October!  XOXO ~Amor MilagreAmor Milagre New Home Renovation Design Diaries 1st Dusty Days 2019 Ethical Organic Gift Shop Handmade Gift Shop Art Autumn decor sugar fruit garden bay windows amormilagre.com

Always be careful when removing old flooring because you don’t know what kind of, now rusty, staples and hardware were used to attach it.  Opening windows and covering your mouth/nose, especially if you have allergies, can help keep dust and dander from making you ill.  Old flooring and the layers underneath are very unhealthy to inhale.

Removing any flimsy, eye-blocking window grids (not for structural strength) helps you see out into Nature and prevents splinters for all ages.  It’s less distracting, it helps to keep windows clean, and the room feels less stuck for optimal design and mindful reflection.  There were many windows here with these grids barely hovering on the windows, but unfortunately the few newer windows have this inside the glass, so we’re stuck with those for a bit.  My designs are centered on openness.  The less lines that divide the home the less that lines will divide the mind.  All is connected.  Be free and open in Nature…

When choosing paint colours, the natural light and room purpose are important to consider.  Look for healthy no-VOC paint options.  Find the family of colours you like, then choose one with enough earthiness for a soothing countenance.  Try it on every wall to see the shadows at all times of day.  What feels comforting to you?

Inspiration for Kindness:  When leaving a home, give the gift of a clean space, less to do for new owners, and remove all old dusty items as part of the house sale.  Many people have allergies and are tired during a move.  Be kind by caring about every little thing, because it takes a lot of energy and time to remove every dusty little thing, and it’s nice to come home on the first day to a pleasing, healthy space to unpack and exhale.  🙂

The new house designs are planned and will be excitedly shared here as each room is updated.  Good designs take time to grow just as a garden evolves in time.  A house is not finished and full all at once.  Over the years, we can make and stumble upon things to adorn the walls and sketchbooks.  Renovations will be appearing in this Amor Milagre journal and design books in the coming seasons.  Our new home will provide more time for me to release many collections, as well as a quieter lifestyle for our family.  We hope no one pollutes our new reverie as they did our darling Dove Cottage.  All the good memories we do have from this house are layered with the stress of the sound pollution.  We look forward to truly wonderful and healthy memories.

My book characters were born here, inspiring silly dreams at bedtime, many of which are still waiting to jump into the Shop.  My husband hand-cleared the land for the house, made paths in the woods by walking his adored daily stroll in the trees years before we met.  Later, we married in our wooded haven.  We watched a family of deer cross the snowy yard every twilight.  Toys danced on the new FSC Certified flooring and little hands circled their first crayon masterpiece, making first storybooks.  New vegan recipes shined in the organic no-dig garden and were enjoyed at the table.  Illustrations graced the walls, beautifully papered with non-toxic, unscented materials.  Radiant heat kept us cozy in the cold months, and mini-split heat pumps cooled us on hot days.  All would have been more enjoyable if we could feel the breeze through our new rooms, but the sound pollution from machines, highways, deforestation, and disrespectful new neighbours increased to a level so hard to exist in, our beautiful new large windows that brought Nature in, had to stay closed.  No open fresh air means ill health, even with a mechanical ventilation system.  Where is common curtesy?  Where is compassion?  Where are manners and human dignity?  Where is Love for all living things?  We’re hopefully moving there…or at least we will continue to encourage these loving practices wherever we go…

‘Dove Cottage’ is only now ‘finished’ because we are leaving it.  A home is never ‘done’, but rather it changes over time and when in new hands.  We only just now finished the interior projects in order to move, some varying from our plans, and after all of our work, we haven’t even been able to live in the finished spaces due to our hastened move caused by sound pollution.  Though we did carve out some lovely exterior gardens, we haven’t had time to finish the garden plans around the house to share.  Our sacrifice, work, money, muscle, patience, and every second from the past several years was dedicated to Dove Cottage.  All was done by our loving hands and imagination with good health in mind for each choice.  We told the house to share the Loving Energy we gave her to the new owners and visitors.

***Amor Milagre, and our family, is in no way associated with any new owners, but our original designs of this house are copyrighted:  All Rights Reserved © 2011-2019 Amor Milagre.  I will finish and release some projects that include imagery from this house, but if any images of our house are shared online that are not by myself, Amor Milagre, then please remember that it is not us and we are not responsible for them or any messages or actions they put out into the Universe.  The internet sometimes connects images, but the sources are often lost, so please do not confuse Amor Milagre with anyone else.  The house will look similar to how it does now, as fixtures, wallpaper, paint colours, curtains, and other items are staying.  Of course, any changes to the designs going forward are not done by us and we are not associated with or responsible for new or changed designs after we move.  We are not them, and they are not us.  We simply designed and made this house.  Our new house will be our home and the new place of Atelier Amor Milagre (Design Studio & Office).

*Humans need to realize what they are doing to their own lives and everything all over.  Deforestation destroys ecosystems and sound barriers.  Machines (and neighbours even after speaking to them and then reporting them) need to stop polluting in every way.  We hope to regain our hearing that was lost and to recover from illnesses and stress made by constant sound pollution.  It is very serious and needs awareness to be made for it in order for healthy long-term changes to be made worldwide.  We hope to build a new home to last many lifetimes in a peaceful place for good health, and not suffer anymore from the selfishness of others.  That was what our Dove Cottage was supposed to be and why every second was pushed for it so that at some point we could settle in and truly live.  The nomadic life is exhausting and upsetting.  Everyone craves ‘home’, wherever that is for them.  We simply want to go home.

Leaving our home was made worse by the current system for selling and buying.  The real estate system is dysfunctional and massively problematic to endure.  It has failed us since Spring.  It is completely unorganized, out of order, and one late email or misplaced paper from any one of the many people involved can cause an entire deal to fall apart after the last second is up.  The incredibly hectic, unrealistic way it operates is unacceptable.  Everyone who speaks of it has their own terrible tale.  We have informed the ‘people in charge’ of this system of healthy ideas for a complete redesign of this industry.  You can use your voice to change this system.  Find your state board of realtors to let them know how troubling this system is.  They are aware of the issues, but don’t even apologize for it.  “That’s the way it is…” they say.  For everyone’s sake, they need to change it.  It’s not a nice work day for them either.  For us, it’s been yet another challenge to untangle.  We don’t want to just get through it, forget it, and move on to more positive things because, if there is an issue that affects everyone, we must try to change it to be positive for everyone.  It is still our problem even after we move.  What if we have to move again, or our friend needs to move, or anyone needs to move?  We don’t want the same system to impair our children’s life later on..or now.  There is no steadiness for planning.  Everything is last minute and you can’t count on it.  It causes you to tell your children unreliable information and that is confusing and distressing to your daily life, memories, and planning.  Every detail of life is on hold and disturbed for who knows how long.  The fees are too high, and not affected by poor performance; there is no pay reduction consequence for missing deadlines or poor communication.  We had to do most of the work ourselves to get anything done.  Another industry that needs more care, healthier options, and to charge less is the construction business.  We build our houses ourselves because we have to, even though we have very little time with both of us working full time jobs and parenting.  The local contractors overcharge and don’t provide healthy practices or good craftsmanship.  They also pollute your home, as does the real estate system, even when scent/pollution rules are set for showings and appointments.

***We really care about what we do, whether that is making a family dinner, designing our home, or painting up collections for the Amor Milagre Shop.  What we all do matters greatly to everyone and our Selves.

Each industry needs a re-design with Good Health for All as the focus.  What industries have you been involved in or have experience with?  How can you make healthy choices and changes?  Let’s not ignore problems.  Let’s resolve them.

We dearly hope to at long last be settled and sleep well, even though we have to start over once again, rebuilding an old house, after building an efficient lovely new one with amazing healthy features and non-toxic sustainable beautiful materials.  It’s amazing how truly hard it has been, having a baby, being ill, working, building, enduring and rebuilding our life every day just because the people around us do not care about their effect on the world.  All with little to no sleep due to neighbours and highways (deforestation).  Not being able to open the windows due to sound pollution causes so many illnesses and all can be prevented.  Fresh air, oxygen, is vital.  The nervous system and immune system need to feel safe, quiet, calm, and nurtured for good whole health.  Trusting your instincts is important, but exhausting if all you hear is threatening sound pollution.  Life does not need to be so difficult, complex, and painful.  Life, by Nature, is absolutely beautiful, if we let it be beautiful for all of us, every day connecting with Nature.  Be aware, be kind, be sensical, be gentle, be loving, be purely you!  XOXO  ~Amor Milagre

A Tomato that Tastes like a Tomato

Amor Milagre Heirloom Tomatoes Organic Garden Farm Summer Harvest 2019 Ethical Organic Gift Shop Handmade Gift Shop Art Baby & Child amormilagre.comTo grow a tomato that tastes like a tomato, the old ways are beautiful, flavourful, and healthy.  Let the bugs roam, let the sun shine, let the rain fall, and let plants be natural in Nature.

We love to plant organic, non-GMO, heirloom tomato seeds, in a sunny spot each year, on a fresh layer of homemade organic plant compost, in our organic no-dig edible plant garden.  Clear other plants from the bottom layer for optimal air flow and remove lower leaves after they’ve grown strong and healthy.  (No sprays or chemicals.  No tools needed).  Enjoy the colours and taste of all kinds of lovely tomatoes!  Plant organic basil nearby for a delicious salad picnic in the garden.  Guiding the plants, watching the flowers and bees, and being a helper of Nature feels amazing.  We love to take a closer look and thank Mamma Nature for her beautiful designs, colours, textures, scents, sounds, and tastes.  We’re fascinated by her natural packaging, recycling, and life cycles.  We also save the tomato seeds for planting new plants and label with the date.

Heirloom tomatoes taste wonderful and have old origins.  The seeds were passed down from generations of gardeners.  They are heirlooms like a beautiful antique gift from your ancestors, but these gifts produce gorgeous food over and over again to sustain a healthy family of growers.

Remember to:  Support your local organic plant farmers and gardeners at local markets, restaurants, and shops.  Get your hands dirty.  It feels good to connect to the Earth and grow healthy food for yourself, Dear Ones, and your community.  Children love to grow and eat their own garden.  One handful of seeds grows an abundance of healthy food to be eaten that day and preserved for the year.  Grow flavours, colours, quality, and good health in your garden all year round.  Plants are best when eaten when in season, ripe, fresh, and kissed by the sun.  Happy Late Summer Foods!  Enjoy Nature: The Best Show on Earth!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

The Favourite Series: Library Themed Children’s Book Reading List

Amor Milagre Library Themed Children's Book Reading List September 2019 For the Love of Learning Favourite Series Ethical Organic Gift Shop Handmade Gift Shop Art Baby & Child amormilagre.com

Libraries are beautiful places to visit and explore!  Their magic is elevated up to the stars when you meet a kind librarian who knows the sense of each book spine, cover, and ribbon bookmark.  All the ideas of those before us inspire our minds to open to new clouds of thought, sensed by us long ago and once again.  What revelations will you have today?  A library can be a community’s heart.  It’s that time of year when many children go back to school.  For us, as year-round homeschoolers, it’s another season to learn wonderful, dear stories.  Here are a few we love.

One of my upcoming books includes a wonderful story of lovely librarians.  All of my books include families who love to learn.  There is power in understanding and empathy.  Live in the Light!

This list is part of my new ‘Favourite Series’ which I’ll add to each season.  I can only recommend the books on this list in the means of imagination, and not always for how each book is made.  The only books on this list that I know for sure are ethically made are my own handmade books.  All of my books feature the benefits of learning.  The books here are chosen by the young, and as a parent, I agree that these are helpful and beautiful.  This is the children’s list!  I won’t write our impressions, as it’s best to allow your first impression to be purely your own.  Many more children’s book reading lists are coming up!  Happy Reading & Library Explorations! xoxo ~Amor Milagre

We connected dearly with these and read them many times over:

  • The Library:  Sarah Stewart, David Small
  • Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré:  Anika Aldamuy Denise, Paola Escobar
  • Bunny’s Book Club:  Annie Silvestro, Tatjana Mai-Wyss
  • Library Lion:  Michelle Knudsen, Kevin Hawkes

A most sincere Thank You! to all of the people who made the books above!

There is No Excuse for Child Abuse or Abuse of Anyone

Amor Milagre No Excuse for Child Abuse A Gentle Life Book Collection all ages & genders Ethical Handmade Gift Shop Art Organic Baby & Child amormilagre.comWe are all babies…just of different ages.  There is no excuse for child abuse, and since we are all children, there is no excuse for abuse of anyone, no matter their age.  If you were abused, you cannot continue the damage on your children, Self, or others.  You must heal yourself, and know yourself, and not put yourself in situations where you could harm someone.  Seek help and help yourself.  Examine your thoughts.  It takes you to choose to unlearn the negatives and learn what you want to know:  Love.  Heal with Love.  Love is already and always within you.  Feel you are Love, for you are whole.

Abuse is a pollution that spreads quickly and roots deeply.  Abuse is not OK, and there is no excuse.  Beware of false apologies/promises.  Abuse takes many shapes, and the boundaries are easily crossed once one kind of abuse has been acted upon.  Violence makes more violence, and this solves nothing.  Problems can be resolved with calm, loving communication.  Love can change our world from ‘violent’ to ‘peaceful’.  We must change the chain reactions we spread to be positive ones, for everywhere we go we take our energy.  Let our energy be healthy and positive to inspire others to feel loved and loving inwards and outwards.  Dissolve fear and don’t project your fears on others, especially not in the form of abuse, and not on children.

Everyone deserves respect and safety.  Healing may take time, but if you change your attitude to being loving and patient with yourself, you’ll learn how to be loving and patient with others.  No one can heal abusive people for them, but abusive people can heal themselves (away from those they hurt).  It is their responsibility to heal themselves and replace harmfulness with helpfulness.  Protect people who are being harmed in any way.

If one person is harmed, it negatively affects the history of All in the Universe.  Even one negative thought ripples out and hurts everyone.  There is more to this world than people sense.  We all need to move in the direction of Love, all the time, and then everyone will be what they need.

If someone harms you, do not believe their negative words about you.  You are a beautiful soul and loved by the Universe.  We each have our own power to think about ourselves how we like.  Don’t harm yourself or others because others harm you.  Pain may be familiar, but it’s not healthy or comforting.  Knowing what pain is like is not your fault, but you can overcome it, and choose good health for yourself in everything you do and think.  Love is the way to heal from pain.  Find positive ways to replace harmful habits with healthy ones.  Your thoughts and body are sacred for you to care for.  We have a choice to believe we are loved and wonderful, no matter who is around us.  If others have a problem, it is their problem to resolve on their own (away from those they were hurting), and the people being hurt are not the source.  People have no right to lash out at others because they are hurting.  Parents need to take healthy, loving care of their children with endless patience.  Children need to know that their world is safe and their bodies and beings are respected.  Everything is new for them in this life.  Let’s allow their worlds to be beautiful, healthy, and loving.  Their world is theirs to explore, and they need healthy guides for learning positive ways to care for themselves.

People of all ages need to feel free to ask for help, without the fear of something equally harmful or worse happening to them in the process.  Let the world change from spending money on violence to designing a reliable world-wide system for abuse survivors to be truly helped whenever needed.  This system can educate all to prevent abuse, too.  It can be added into every annual school curriculum as a whole class, for all genders.  A class with no tests, other than Life.  A class to raise awareness about abuse and bullies, self care, how to prevent and protect, how to heal, how to seek help, how to help others, and how to not abuse others or the Self.  Abuse happens everywhere, every day.  Most people don’t ask for help.  Who can they ask?  Who can they trust?  Children are mostly home, so how can anyone know to help?  Do they know what ‘abuse’ is?  Just because ‘it’s the way it is” and the life they know doesn’t mean it’s healthy or the way life could be.  Where is a system that truly helps?  Awareness is key.  Help people when you see they need it.  How could we know where to ask for help?  Of all the things our world needs, this helpful system would be extremely beneficial to the whole-health of all.  Reporting abuse is very important because it is so common and destructive.  With the current systems, when a survivor bravely reports abuse, what really happens?  Do they get the help they need?  Reporting abuse is important to make an awareness of how common this issue is, to protect individuals and future survivors, and to help ourselves stand up to violence in peaceful ways.  What could be truly helpful for them?  Who is there to listen and teach them about how wonderful they are?  The world needs patience and Love to help.  The world needs to refocus funds and jobs to be in the direction of helping because there are so many people in need of help.

We can choose goodness for ourselves, starting with our thoughts.  Thoughts turn into actions, so be mindful to layer Love into all of your thoughts.  You deserve to feel that you are Love.  Your soul, mind, body, heart, and energy are pure Love.  Be Love!  Be purely you!  Live in the Light!

Children are everything good!  Each person is unique and has their own needs, so be patient and change your perspective to help them if you don’t see solutions to your questions.  They look to you for help.  Do not harm children in any way.  This universal message is important to remember always in everything we do and say.  No one has the right to harm.  Everyone can live peacefully and respectfully in Love for All.

Remember:  Is this helpful or harmful?  Am I helping or harming?  Be helpful for yourself, everyone, and everything.  Positivity is powerful and healing.

I send healing Love out to All.  xoxo ~Amor Milagre

10 Helpful Healthy Energy Tips For Calm Meditation

Amor Milagre 10 Helpful Tips For Calm Meditation Ethical Handmade Gift Shop Art Organic Baby & Child Books amormilagre.com

When you feel like you’ve done too much, it’s not time to do more.  Pause, Stop. Rest…  Unwind with meditation to remember how to truly rest all of you.  Here are 10 helpful tips for calm meditation for all ages.  Take gentle care of you. xoxo ~Amor Milagre

  1.   Eat fresh plant foods and hydrate.  Stretch slowly to circulate any trapped chemicals in your body.  Drink water to improve the flow.
  2.   Routines that build energy help you.  Matching low energy with unhealthy foods and negative habits harms you.  What is helpful?  What grows positive habits?  What gives you energy?
  3.   Breathe fresh air.  See the leaves and seasons change.  Harmonize with Nature’s rhythms.
  4.   A calm space where you feel safe and are able to sit or lay still and quietly is helpful to unwind into meditation.  With practice, you can meditate in any place.
  5.   Open and unwind.  If you’re unsure how to begin, try resting quietly, without added layers of sound.  If you have trouble with this, a guided meditation can help you build a meditation routine into your memory to use any time you need to let go and refocus.  Use something as low-tech as possible.  You can even write your own guide and read aloud before beginning.  Natural sounds are helpful for connecting to Nature, so open a window or visit a garden.  A comfortable position, balanced for your spine and posture, and able to breathe in your best way, is helpful for grounding down into the Earth.  If you can, go outside, remove shoes, and ground your energy down, energizing from the Earth’s core.
  6.   Keep a small and large perspective for a balance of calm reflection and revitalization.
  7.   A healthy skincare and Self care routine helps before meditation so you feel settled and fresh, ready to explore knowing your Higher and Inner Self.  Unplug electronics for a quiet space.  Low lighting is soothing.  A soft eye mask or a cloth over your eyes can help block light, and with lavender or other favourite scented plants, you can ease into feeling your senses and awareness more naturally.
  8. An hour to let go, explore, and open helps you to not rush or dwell too long.  Release any pressure for specific goals or expectations.  What will come will surface.  Listen with your heart, open.
  9. Maintaining a healthy meditation routine helps you to keep your energy, so you don’t dip too low, lacking energy.  Humans’ ways and routines are often energy zappers for others, so be mindful to create your own unique routines for your unique needs.
  10.   You can heal your Self with breathing, processing, and letting go.  Trust your Self to take care of you, and you can take care of your whole Self, your Soul, and the Universe.

Breathe into your soft Light, and feel Love.

Sound Pollution: Quiet the Machines of Humans. Connect to a Sense of Nature.

Amor Milagre Sound Pollution Quiet Humans A Sense of Nature Ethical Handmade Gift Shop Art Design Organic Baby & Child Woman amormilagre.com

Humans make and use loud polluting machines that are impairing all of our health and the energy of the universe and beyond.  Quiet now, unplug, stop, balance, listen, and prevent more of what has already damaged so many, so much, even at this moment.  Hearing and vibration, sound waves and clarity of thought, brain and balance, think about the connections.  The connections are universal and infinite.  Not only the air we breathe is polluted, but the air we are experiencing on every level is coated in poison.  How can humans make good decisions if their bodies are not in balance on the most basic levels of peace in their environment?  Human systems are only increasing in high sound levels, but you can start with you.  What levels of sound are you putting out each moment?  How do you speak or express?  How are you polluting?  What do you have power of?  How can you change your ways to be healthier?  Walk, cycle, shop local, report sound levels every time, be aware, and make positive changes.

How do you use electronics and motorized machines?  Silence them and respect your environment.  Anything electrical puts out a constant frequency.  Reduce the amount of processing we have to do in order to have simple daily routines.  How easily do you feel flustered and unbalanced?  How are you sleeping?  What frequencies disturb your sleep cycles?  Which kitchen appliances do you have, and how are they affecting your health?  Nature can be loud enough with thunder and crickets, so let’s not add unending layers of unnatural noise on top of her passing rhythms.  Turn off computers and devices to reduce energy being taken from you and everyone around you.  What is natural and what is not?  Surround yourself in Nature, and let others do the same for themselves.

If you pollute the universe, you are directly polluting yourself.  Your soul’s memory remembers everything, so it is in everyone’s best interest to take care of themselves and everything around them.

Plants (food) are also damaged by sound pollution.  Build sustainably and test sound levels and frequencies before coming up with new ‘safety standards’.  Base the standards to be even more sensitive than the most sensitive people’s needs.  Base them on the most inner level and effects on the body.  Why is ‘everyone’ sick?  ‘Everyone’ pollutes, and then they expect someone else to fix the issue, feeling they are personally removed or excused from responsibility.  But…Everyone needs to be aware and work together to make positive changes.  Look at the universe without veils or excuses.  What is real?  Connect to everything.  What is really happening out there and right here to each person’s whole health?  Our nervous systems are delicate and are greatly altered by machine vibration.  You take in energy around you, and everything is around you, so let’s allow everything to be in harmony, including us.  The human body is a natural machine, and without Nature, the machine cannot run as intended.  We are not complete without the universe, as we are a part of it.  Connect to be your true Self.

Shift the job focus of scientists from developing more drugs to allowing for simple, natural preventative measures with true studies to back up why pollution needs to change positively and be restored back to Nature.  Stop polluting water so that the water clean up systems aren’t needed/ loud / using energy.  Where do the toxins go?  Do you want to swim in the same water where a boat is directly polluting?  Plant gardens and stop loudly paving over our resources with toxic man-made chemicals.  How much has been lost?  Bring back and encourage the bees, insects, and animals left, to a place of flowers and natural sounds and rhythms.  Ground down to the Earth’s naturalness and connect not to the humans’ machines, but to the universe’s infinite system of connections.  There we will find the energy we have always wanted to connect with:  Love & Light.

Refuse to be in places and report places that are loud:  houses & neighbourhoods, the work place, restaurants, beaches, cities, transportation, celebrations, vehicles, construction, movie theaters, concerts, etc.  Measure sound levels and identify sources.  Issue complaints.  Find alternate solutions.  Hearing loss affects mostly everyone.  If you’re thinking, “That’s the way it is,” remember: it wasn’t how it was, or how it will have to be to continue living, so let’s change it.  Stop this constant struggle to retain our energy, so we may be free to be our True Selves, healthy, smiling, and loving.  One issue with health snowballs into the destruction of the machine, which affects all around it or depending on it, and ripples out into the Universe.  The positive changes for improving sound pollution will not be able to be labeled on a bottle or become a marketing trick fad.  The results will be audible…the sounds of the birds and bees…the sound of your Inner Voice, your Higher Self…guiding you to the goodness of real Love that you can have all of the time!  It’s within you all of the time.  You are Love!  Be Love, Be Purely You.

Humans, we were not meant to create, to compete with Nature, to take her over, or to try to outsmart her.  We are a part of Nature, not separate or superior.  Nothing humans make can compare to Nature.  Nature’s cycles and organic ways of recycling can inspire us.  We need to learn how to harmonize once again.  The sounds of man-made machines are not in harmony with Nature’s Choir.  Our voices are.  We can use our inventive gifts to design ways to heal from pollution and allow for new routines with full-circle health at the center.

Let’s live peacefully, gently, and respectfully.  Let’s make big changes by making small changes.  One change in attitude, harmful to helpful, equals the solution to every problem in the universe.  Pollution affects everyone and everything, and it is extremely painful for sensitive/aware people, and those with hyperacusis.  The Earth’s children are not being given a chance to be their natural, true, real Self.  They are injured from the start, and they don’t know the difference of how things could be positive for them.  By the time they may think of how to make changes, they are sick.  It is simple to prevent, but complex to heal.  Think about energy levels.  It takes more energy to undo negativity than to stay positive.  Depollute minds of negative teachings.  We have the power to change pollution, so let’s do it today and every day.  There are endless ways to heal from and prevent pollution.  Listen to Nature, for Nature is what we are and need.  Illness, miscommunication, and negativity will fall away if we connect to the sense of Nature.  Can you sense her?  Where is she, untouched by pollution?  Where is she?  Live in the Light!  Love, ~Amor Milagre  [This text is included in my A Gentle Life Book Collection]

10 Helpful Tips For Healthy New Beginnings

Amor Milagre 10 Helpful Tips For Healthy New Beginnings Self Health Series 2019 Ethical Handmade Gift Shop Art Apparel Organic Vegan Baby & Child amormilagre.com

Whether you’re moving to a new home or job, switching schools, beginning college, in or out of a relationship, getting married, having a baby, or moving yourself into a more positive mindset, these tips may be helpful as you embrace your new adventures.  Find joy in custom designing a fresh healthy lifestyle, tailored just for you.  We’ve met so many new people this year and many more this month.  I’m posting these tips to answer some recent questions sent to my inbox and asked while on outtings as we prepare to move to our next adventure.  Every day, no matter your age, we begin again.  This happy thought entices new ideas and old pleasures to be brought in the Summer sunlight to play, laugh, and plan for longterm Love and blissful moments today.  (This text appears in my upcoming healthy lifestyle book).  Happy brave and glorious planning!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

  1.   Gentle, loving processing frees up your mind to new possibilities.  Plan and organize, but leave space in your days for healthy breathing which leads to new ideas.  The truth of Nature surfaces when you take a break to breathe and rest.
  2.   Researching and exploring new places of interest for today’s needs and wants is a journey all of her own.  Keep a funny journal of what you find along the way.
  3.   Think about the qualities of character traits you’d like to attract in new friends.  For example:  kind, compassionate, patient.  What loving traits do you want to have for your own character?
  4.   Keep on the lookout for fun, healthy activities you can safely do on your own and with the community.  Trying new positive things may lead to unexpected smiles.  Unpack and make your new home your own.  If not moving and want a new home feeling, minimal changes like fresh paint and new colours for accent pieces can transform the mood of a room.
  5.   If in school or college, which classes can you choose or focus on?  What brings you joy?  What clubs, extra classes, or events can you attend to learn something new?  Research what would help you with your interests.  Which study abroad programs or internships could be healthy choices for you?  Which jobs are healthy options that will aid you in the future, if even for quicker motor skills or schedule planning diligence?  Plan for yourself, even if the curriculum wasn’t designed for you.  Ask if you can design your schedule.  They may be impressed with your inventiveness and allow you to substitute or add extra classes you want to learn more about.  What can you learn on your own, and how can you share this wonder with others?  Everything you learn helps you learn something else.  Don’t let people pressure you or make decisions for you.  It’s your life.  It takes time to find what you love in this varied and expansive series of made up jobs.  Everyone has natural gifts.  These gifts may or may not be involved with your passions.  You are allowed to enjoy many things, have a few different jobs at once, or several various aspects within one career.  One thing leads to another, and you can choose what you do and in which direction to move next.  Life is ever-evolving and we cannot be labeled or boxed into one word, department, title, or major.  We are made up of infinite words and feelings without words.  Let’s always be learning…for there is always something new and exciting to learn!
  6.   Asking polite, brief questions is a great way to find things that interest you.  If in a new country, learn the customs for proper greetings when asking questions of new people.  Often times, your dreams are not posted on a bulletin board in town, on campus, or online.  You may have to start something new that may attract healthy like-minded people.
  7.   If places, people, or programs don’t add positivity to your life, you have the power to choose something else.  Begin healthy patterns and habits, careful to not repeat negative ones.  Say no to all kinds of abuse.  Reporting abuse is important to protect yourself and others after you.  It’s tricky, so you need to stay safe and healthy.  The people you report it to may not actually help you, but your voice is heard and this can help you heal.  The recorded case could help to stop it if it happens again to someone else or make awareness to prevent it.  Abuse is much too common and needs more awareness to make positive changes for everyone.  Believe in your Self and be smart.  Do what you need for yourself to be healthy and feel safe, healing as you go.  Most abusive people pretend to believe that they are not hurting anyone.  Remove yourself from manipulative situations and don’t waste time trying to “make sense” of abuse.  Abuse doesn’t “make sense” because it’s destructive and because the senses are designed to keep you safe and healthy.  Love is not destructive.  Resolve issues kindly, without gossip, and hear both sides with compassion.  Have a laugh with someone, and not at someone.  There are so many fun, kind ways to live.  What is yours today?
  8.   What do you need and want?  What don’t you need or want?  Write it out, and you may be surprised what appears on the paper.  Update as you go and reread old lists to stay true to reoccurring needs and feelings.
  9.   Steady your pace and customize your natural, healthy routine.  Manage priorities in organized, realistic ways to reduce stress.  Set boundaries, goals, and work time limits.  There is no rush, no matter where you are or who you’re around.  Choose this moment to live in.  Plan wisely and develop positive, creative flexibility when changes are needed.  Use a healthy perspective and neutral accurate language to keep yourself real in dramatic situations.  Being efficient is faster than the stressful panic of false urgency.  Keep calm, work, and then go home.  Try to do what you love, so you’re truly living wherever you are.  If you can’t do what you love, or don’t know your passions yet, working to help others at a company that doesn’t harm anyone or anything is also a great option.  The clock won’t tick as loudly if you enjoy your work.  Your days will flow sweetly and you’ll end up with work you love and a schedule that lets the wind dance in your hair.
  10.   Always stay true to your Inner Self, in the moment, and process each day, so you may be open, clear, and aware to choose goodness for yourself as you go.

It’s a new day!  What would you just Love to do?

You are strong and delicate, take the greatest care in being Purely You.

A special note to all of the younger people I’ve recently met who are looking for Summer internships and jobs:  Congratulations on your graduation!  Thank you sincerely for asking me, but even though I don’t have employees and it’s just me here, I’m am here, so send me a message any time if needed.  I designed my process to suit our lifestyle and evolving routines, as my process really is just that I’m working all of the time, even when dreaming.  All of the pictures and stories are inspired from our life moments.  This is why I call Amor Milagre a company for Authentic Romantics.  I am real and so are my collections, sincere and loving.  Keep asking companies until you find a positive place to work that will help you with your goals.

It’s good practice to ask, gaining confidence each time.  Remember when interviewing or working for people, that they are just people, regardless of titles and words.  They all eat, sleep, and want the same things:  to love and be loved, to create and share.  If they are frustrated with their personal life and try to take it out on you, that’s not your fault, and you don’t have to take it.  You can report it and ask to be transferred or have a meeting with HR saying there needs to more of a professional, respectful attitude.  People need to learn how to sort emotions in healthy ways and not hurt the world just because they are hurting.  So no need to be intimidated or nervous.  You can learn how to do a new job well by trying your best, being on time, asking respectful questions, taking self-helpful notes, and presenting your ideas.  Stand up for your work if someone tries to take credit for it.

Research companies, ask to shadow for a day, and say why you want the job or why you don’t.  Is the working environment healthy, what are the hours, pay, and benefits?  Interviews can be double-sided.  Prepare questions to ask your potential employers.  It’s not just about you getting the job before someone else snaps it up, it’s also about if you want to work and spend time there.  What do they do?  Are they an ethical company?  Asking to see where you would work and meet the people you’d be working for before accepting the position and paying attention when you meet them can help you in the long run.  The way jobs are presented needs to change to be suitable for both the employers and the employees.  This can change if the workforce changes it.  Ask questions.  Why would an employee want to be a part of their company?  How will this be a positive experience for them, the makers, and the company’s consumer audience?  Be your unique Self and love that everyone is their unique Self.  Being unique connects us all together.  If you can’t find a place of employment that meets your goals and needs, you can make one.  What are your passions now?  See what they will lead to later on.  Ask for help if needed, keep asking until you find help, and help yourself by staying aware and independent.  Never forget or lose yourself, you are enough, you are Love.

I am working on something positive that everyone can be included and involved in.  Keep checking back for the release of this fun new project…and in the meantime this journal, shop, and book collections are here to help you with your daily connection with your Self and the Universe.

You are all very beautiful souls!

Love & Peace, ~Amor Milagre

Whether you’re a parent or a child at heart, remembering your favourite childhood memories is beneficial for a happy, healthy lifestyle at any age.  How did it feel to fly down the street on your bicycle, wind on your face, and freedom in your heart?  Here are just 10 things I’ve Loved since childhood.  No matter what else was going on, Nature was my reverie for funny ideas and soothing rhythms.  Speaking to your Inner Self and Inner Child helps you have fun every day.  This practice also helps you to teach your children how to have good, simple fun, anywhere at any time.  What do you like to do in your imagination of the senses?  Happy Spring!

  1.  Swinging with my hair down in the breeze.
  2. Walking up a hill, climbing a tree, and watching the sunset’s beautiful colours each night.
  3. Carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating on Halloween.
  4. Swimming in the ocean in light rain.
  5. Drawing pictures of anything.
  6. Running barefoot in the grass when it’s lightly raining in the summer.
  7. Making up stories and silly games outside in Nature with a friend from down the street.
  8. Dancing with the fireflies in the magical summer evenings.
  9. Designing my ideal town of kindness with chalk on the driveway, and then wheeling around on the tiny roads.
  10. Eating watermelon and tomatoes in the garden.

Of course there are some more, but these were sitting in my eyes.  Everything I Loved then, still lives in my mind now, so it’s easy to have innocent, real fun because I’ve been practicing it since then.  Remember, there is no age that you can reach that says you’re not allowed to laugh and play.  So laugh, so play, have a lovely time today!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

New Home Shopping Tips: House & Land Search

Amor Milagre Spring Home Shopping Tips for New House & Land Search 2019 Ethical Handmade Gift Shop Art Apparel Organic Vegan Baby & Child interior design mountain tree road amormilagre.com

A tangle of emotions whirl around when leaving a home and searching for a new one.  Here are just a few things to keep in mind when looking for your new ‘home sweet home’.  Visiting the towns and local spots, talking with the people who live there, and taking videos and pictures in each season can help shape an impression of an unknown town.  Pro-con lists, research, and the natural instincts of the senses can help you decide where you’re next nest will be.  We’ve been living this process, and thought we’d share a few things that we find helpful when looking at each property listing.  Stay tuned for more Sustainable Home Design journal posts.  This info also appears in my Design Book Collection. Most of these tips are still good for city apartment hunting, too!  Happy sweet spot searching!  XOXO ~Amor Milagre

A few practical shopping tips to keep in mind when looking for a new house or land:

~Location: Is this the area you want to live in?  Is it close to your basic shops?  But, is it too close to neighbours, highways & major roads, or louder, polluted areas?  Is the surrounding area likely to be developed into commercial shops or subdivisions?  Is this area in line with airplane routes or power lines?  Would your home be close to a hospital, police & fire dept, doctor’s office, dentist, and what you find important for staying healthy and in the case of an emergency?  Is this area near bodies of water where you can exercise naturally and swim seasonally?  Can you walk or bike to work or town?  Where are the grocery shops, and do they have organic food shops that support local farmers?  What are the surrounding towns, and what can they offer your lifestyle and weekly routines?  What are the schools, regular attractions, and seasonal festivals like?  If you homeschool, do the schools allow you to participate in specific classes or groups?  How far is your commute?  Are there local restaurants where you can celebrate special occasions?  Do they have options for your kind of dietary choices/needs?

~Health:  Does this area have fresh air and peaceful, natural sounds?  How quiet is the area?  Do the neighbours fix cars, chainsaw, use/ride loud tractors or motorcycles?  Do they have roosters or loud pets?  Can you sleep well at night or have quiet naps in the day for children and people with illness?  Whether you’re planning on living there a short or long time, is this a healthy choice for your lifetime?  Does the house or land have strong scents?  If you’re allergic to pets/dust/mold, does the house irritate your sinuses and lungs?  Does the land smell of farm animals from previous owners?  Does the smell worsen during rain and warm seasons?  What is in your control and how can you live somewhere new that is healthy for your specific needs?  What is the barometric pressure like and how often/quickly does it change (for migraines)?  Is there a good sunny space for organic gardens and a place to unwind?  Can you safely go on walks on the land or nearby?  What is the empathic feeling of the house/land:  positive, negative, or both?  Can you find history notes about the area?  What is the energy of the place?

~Maintenance:  How well can you maneuver on the roads in the winter?  Do they plow well and often?  If a private road, can you plow or hire someone reliable and nearby?  Would this land require too much maintenance for you to personally take care of?

~Relaxation: What is the feeling of the town?  Does it match with your natural, personal mood that you’d ideally like to be in daily?

~Community:  What groups can you join or take part in when you like?  Are the people generally friendly and helpful?  What is the culture(s) like?  Do you need to learn a new language?  How many available jobs are there in your new area?  What can you be a part of there?  What kinds of activities do they have for children and holidays?  How is the crime rate and how easily can you find help from local systems if you need it?  Are there any reported/known offenders in the area?  What are the usual lifestyles, customs, activities, and events that some locals subscribe to?  Would you be able to find the things you Love to do there?  Could you make opportunities for these things there?

~Price:  A major factor.  Can you afford this area?  Finding somewhere that you can afford is important so that you can live at home, and not live at your job, working overtime to afford a certain area.  What are the taxes like?  If a HOA, what are the annual fees?  Is the cost of living in this new area affordable?  Does a tomato cost 3X more here than in the next town?  If you’re investing in a house that needs a renovation, how much will the reno improve the value of the house if you choose to sell it later?

~House Type: Does the house suit you and your lifestyle?  Does the layout suit your needs, family, routines, and space per person?  When was it built?  Does is smell of smoke, perfume, pets, dust, mold, etc?  What condition is the house in:  renovate or move in ready for your needs/tastes?  What design type is the exterior and interior?  How easily and cost efficient could you renovate it to your needs/tastes?  How motivated are the sellers?  How willing are they to work with you so you may have money to renovate?  Can they finish a project before you move in?  Would you need to paint, remove wallpaper, redo floors, build additions/ storage/ driveways, pave roads, etc?  Which walls are load bearing?  What is the condition of the roof, chimney(s), siding, insulation, etc?  What are the heating/cooling sources?  Is this sustainable and cost-efficient for your annual budget?  Is there an air system for fresh air circulation?  Are the windows efficient and do they operate properly?  Is the electrical up to code?  Is there a fire sprinkler system? Does the house lot need better drainage to avoid leaks and flooding?  Is it on a hill that could result in a landslide?  If in a place that is prone to high winds, is the house flexibly built to withstand the strain?  Is the driveway flat to reduce wintery accidents?  Where is the mailbox?  Is the street safe, busy, easy to find/turn into your driveway?  What is the flow and ease of use for the rooms?  Does it feel like someone else’s house, or with some changes/your belongings, could you see yourself living there?   …..+

~Land Type: Is the land flat, steep, hilly, uneven, rocky?  Is the bedrock exposed or close to the surface which could require blasting to install the foundation?  Is the land marshy, too near brooks, or too buggy?  What are the lot lines?  What is the slope?  How much of the land is naturally ready to build on?  How much extra work/money/time would it take to build there?  Would the type of land change what kind of building design you could accomplish?  What is the climate & usual weather?  Walking around the property can really help by seeing if there are half-buried “treasures” and vehicles from previous owners.  What is the state of the Natural ecosystem?  Is there a good space for wildlife?  What are the views:  the neighbours garbage cans strewn along the street, piles of antique machines and car parts, or…beautiful water, mountains, fields, or trees?  Can you see the sky?  How much light will you have, especially on rainy days?  How many trees will you leave near the house?  Are there natural features such as: brooks, waterfalls, large mossy boulders?  Are there old man-made features such as:  stone walls, sheds, gardens, etc?  Is there a well or a septic system or enough room to put them in?  How far is the building site from existing utilities for electricity, plumbing, phone lines, internet, etc?  Does the land have good drainage?  What is the history of the land?

Whew…and these are just a few…we’re excited to find our new spot and share a fresh batch of building & design tips along the way!
