Pastel Weather
I’m resurfacing from the underworld once again…just in time for pastel weather. I love autumn. I have a new nocturnal schedule, finally. I paint watercolours and make a mess of charcoal at night. Afternoons are chalky with pastels. I’m catching up on all of my book illustrations, non-stop writing, and resetting homeschool book sections. It’s that magical time when all feels humble and true. New cosy pieces soon. Love, ~ Amor Milagre

A Pleasure to Meet You…
New Short Film: Borrowing Names at the Graveyard for New Loving Book Characters
Names, names, everywhere…
We go out for a stroll after dinner late August, gleaning old lovely names, once prettily new, for our stories. I’m writing more about the beauty and calm of the separated lives of nocturnals this week.
Make a safe feeling to leave in your name. Love, ~ Amor Milagre
Recent Reads: Early Spring
Welcome to Early Spring at our Rose Cottage. It’s still snowing every day, and we cuddle up with tea to read. Here are a few books from our collection and some from the local library. It’s fun to find out which ones we love and wish to add to our home library. We use these for homeschool, too. My own original Amor Milagre artwork and books are also featured. The piano song is a melody I made up when little to meditate on during transitional times. This month, the flower bulbs are stretching up to the sun and the snow falls in fluffy clouds. Follow along with the books we explore each season. More rainy puddle-splashing reads are coming up soon! Love, ~Amor Milagre
Spring 2026 ‘Rhythm’ Mood Board
This spring is all about appreciating, and keeping, natural rhythms. I make new boards before the season changes to help us focus on the transition and the daily mood. Of course, spring cleaning and finishing furniture/home renovation projects are on the menu. Other goals may be more specific like planting a certain flower seed to grow amongst our handmade stone walls or painting blue thawing beachscapes. Mostly, the continuance of natural, quiet, sweet, loving moments is the theme. A gentle reminder for softness, blooms, strolls, fresh air, and inherent bliss ties together the mood here for our rejuvenating springtime. We’re feeling especially nostalgic now. We celebrate what we have and mend any loose buttons. Spring is a time for positive changes, and our world can benefit from healthy options going forward. This is the moment to live. I’m focusing on illustrating many of my peaceful novels and children’s books this season. New art print stationery cards for these watercolours are coming soon. We savour the winter still, growing peace, and we’ll use the energy of this board to keep the calming rhythms going throughout the rest of the busier seasons. Unwinding is healing.
Grow goodness every day. Love, ~ Amor Milagre
First, I removed the ‘Air’ Winter Mood Board pictures. We put them in a grimoire-type scrapbook to look back on for personal growth and renewed inspiration.
Winter is definitely my favourite now. Meditate and grow peace.
