Peaceful Protest: Modern Media needs to Change for the Better

Just a note to remind the people in charge of ‘being the creative’ in their industry:

You are allowed to write amazing scripts to help everyone.  It seems that all people do now is watch movies, usually alone.  Remember living?  Doing?  Being?  Screen medium is powerful, but as it’s been on a loop of toxic reruns, it’s time for a massive positive shift into a realm of amazing possibilities.  Return to pre-technology minds. If you’re going to make a movie, make it amazing.  Use that money and time and energy for something truly artistic, touching, and memorable in a positive way.

Inspiration is not limited.  What can you attempt to translate with modern tools instead of depending on the tools to create for you?  I cannot watch one more movie with my family where there is no dialogue, no plot (even when based on a well-known book), no accurate details, terrible blah unresearched costumes, no real setting, no motion or too many jump cuts, no character evolution or arcs, and all these lazy little computer generated lines and storms distracting from the real story that could be there.  The trailers say it all.  What is this about?  The makers have no idea.  There is no story.  It’s all static.  Computer-made static.  Ban AI.  Human stories need to be told by humans.  Media doesn’t have to be predictable and irritatingly boring anymore.  Stop over-thrilling.  It’s not working.  It just give seizures.  Slow down and think.  What are you trying to say?

The screaming must end.  The whispering jumps to sudden loud noises making all of it insensitive and  unwatchable.  We should not have to edit your sound levels with a remote, causing more arthritis.  Figure it out pre-production.  White screens?  No.  Flashing lights?  Absolutlely not.  Why try to harm the viewer who is trying to enjoy your work?

NEW stories?  I write new ones every day.  Stop remaking old toxic junk.  The world was smaller, so the well-known stories are known for that reason.  It doesn’t make them positive.  Give the money to the NEW and POSITIVE.  Enough of the 99% negative stories.  We get it.  The cautionary tale is overdone.  It can’t be every story.  It’s too dark.  Where is the light, humour, and the hope?  Don’t underestimate your audience.  Teach people how to pay attention again by respecting the obvious capacity of their amazing brains.  We deserve real stories, tropeless, and smart.  The children’s stories need to be the most uplifting and positive without a catastrohpic toxic theme/visuals.  Let them dream and sleep well.  Me, too!  This is not fun.  Media can teach about certain realities, but let’s show how loving reality can be.  There needs to be more examples of goodness and how to grow it.  Where is the balance?  We need one.  Where is beauty, generosity, long-term peace?  Where?  It’s not reflecting in your heavy-handed repetetive regurgitated nonsense.

And casting…oh my goodness!  Is this a first take?  Have any of these people learned how to act?  Do they naturally feel like an actor?  Whose children are they?  Give everyone an equal audition.  You’re not doing anyone any favours.  It’s not working.  Wake up, true creatives.  Try again to work in your fields.  I know the money people make it insufferable, but if this is the way they want to keep it, then there should be no more movies, music, clothing designs, etc.  UNTIL we are allowed to actually do the work that is naturally inspired.  Strikes are meaningless unless the audience doesn’t support the so-called products, too.

The modern world has no standards.  Even neighbourhoods have zero common decency.  This world is sleeping through the decades, all while allowing its destruction and neglect to harm everyone and every industry.  Stop letting poisonous minds ruin everything good and beautiful.  Let the children know what is good.  Watching any show, or reading other’s books, means we have to tirelessly explain why what the maker deems is safe or healthy is indeed not at all.  The ‘what they needed to do/say here…’  is the inevitable companion to turning on the TV and reading books.  The problem is in the stories and in the lack of care for the effect on the viewer.  The modern idea of acceptable romance is shockingly abusive.  Red flags all around.  We haven’t found anything truly respectful or healthy.  Finding books we love is so impossible that we’ve had to write them ourselves.  By the time we try a movie or book, the damage is done.  You can turn it off or close the book, but that poison is in your family’s memory.  It’s a lot to ‘Be the change’.  I’m proud of our books, and I hope they soothe your overwhelmed senses.  Write your own.  In this way, there are new unique perspectives.  No swearing though.  I’m tired of scratching it out only to be able to still see the pollution.  Think of how words affect people.  Be creative.  Use real words.  Paint the picture without the filler violence.  Children love reading.  No age limits.  Movies, too.

Plant some flower seeds.  Take a film of their stages.  Share the blooms.  Watch others grow, too.  Take back the instinct of wanting to make goodness, interest, and fun things to experience and communicate about.  This is currently a bleak world full of violence and lostness.  It’s unbearable for me to witness in every capacity.  Yes, I’m an empath and I feel it all, but I’m creative and I know how gorgeous and brilliant this all can easily be.  You’re not living if you’re not living peace.  Why torture everyone with this constant fear and trauma in life and in the media?  Where has culture gone since the internet?  Eat with a friend?  What friend?  Eat what?  Chemicals?  Come on.  Chop chop. Let’s get to work.  What do you FEEL?  Figure it out.  Then, translate.  In this desensitised world, you must dare to care.  Try.   Remember you have an imagination.  It works.  Just practice by using it.  Cutting corners cuts all the good stuff out.  ‘Serendipity’ is a word for a reason.

I write PEACE into every story.  Live peace.  Allow peace to be our reality.  Imagine the movies then!  The future of media could be healthy if you all choose it every day.  It’s just a way of communicating.  Communicate lovingly.  What do you want to say?  How can you help?

Love to you silly lazies and prevented amazings.  ~Amor Milagre

Wintry March Hare Days

Wintry March Hare Days at Amor Milagre
Wintry March Hare Days at Amor Milagre

The owl and deer visit by night.  By day, we visit a local farm to pet the fluffy bunnies and inhale the maple sap clouds.  Then it’s off to an icy lake to whirl in the wind, and home again to pancakes and the history of maples for the weekly essay.  We adore the new snowfall for the peace and stillness, for the eternal playground.  Stay sweetly around our Rose Cottage, Dear Snow.  World, choose peace and stay safe.  Love, ~Amor Milagre
