It’s the weekend, and we’re cuddled up in floury rolled-up sweater sleeves, writing wintry novels, reading old favourites, and baking away.

Giving children time, space, and ingredients inspires magic to crisp up. Today’s gingerbread was made by the little chefs of Rose Cottage. Get a sense of timing and spice ratios…smile knowing you can do it!

Early fairy tales are so fun to read this time of year. “You can’t catch me…”

These taste wonderful! Now, they’re running all over the house…

Pizza lunches with Kalamata olives…mmm…

One of my cosy reading/writing nooks. So many treasuries are coming up in the New Year!

Writing inspiration is everywhere in our home…just a little bumpy tour of the library, aka the wild forest.

*Our most fun moments are quiet and still. There in lies the magic, able to be heard.

Here is our weekly vegetable bean soup to keep us healthy while the cold sets into the garden. Looks like it will be a snow-packed season.
