Organic Gardening: Spring Daffodil Flowers

Amor Milagre Spring Daffodils Organic Gardening
Amor Milagre Spring Daffodils Organic Gardening

As our new flower bulb patches have doubled over winter, we delight in our lush cheerful daffodils.  A return to the piano is just as refreshing.  New songwriters explore their soul.  It is always a season for learning.  Unforgotten shapes of petals and notes fill the warming air.  We plant seeds.  I scribble away…tulips soon.

New books are growing.  Happy May!  Love, ~ Amor Milagre

Organic Gardening: Evergreen Spring Planting Additions

Amor Milagre Organic Gardening, Evergreens
Amor Milagre Organic Gardening, Evergreens

This snowy, rainy, hailing week of spring, we added some structure to our newly hand-renovated organic garden.  A line of five baby Dwarf Mugo Pines was spaced out into the front border.  They will grow up with three Japanese boxwoods, daffodils, tulips, and a spreading carpet of bee-loving thyme and alba periwinkle flowers.  More lavender will dot in here later.  These candle cone cuties are slow growing and can be annually shaped or left wild to sprawl.  We’re excited for these pretty pines to be a layered part of our cosy winter garden.  They will bolster up summer blooms as well.  After the snow melts down, enhancing the soil, we’ll be doing our big spring garden tidy up, editing, pruning, and more planting.  I’ll add some archival garden-themed fine art photography prints to my shop this year, too!

A plan for more drought-tolerant evergreens is on our list of homey to do’s for our sustainably re-designed Rose Cottage.  I will post about all the changes we’ve made to the gardens.  It was a massively overgrown mess before we enacted the ‘right plant right place’ practice here, taking it all down first.  Always do your research before planting.  What is your zone?  What is the expected size the plant could grow to?  Colours?  Textures? Number? Layers? Pollinators & wildlife?  There are many things to consider.  How far from the house is a good distance?  You want to be able to age gracefully with your garden, making it as effortless as possible to care for, while enjoying the biggest amount of relaxation from your patch of healing earth.

Amor Milagre Organic Gardening, Evergreens

These are mad expensive times, so it will take more time to build up privacy screening with taller plants, such as junipers, Italian cypress, thujas, and more spruce trees.  These more deer-resistant types reduce the gamble of plant care.  There is so much less green in the world for wildlife to roam through now.  We love animals to visit us, but we also care for our plants and don’t wish for branches to be nibbled right up come springtime.  We have been covering our new shrubs in burlap, which helps to protect them as they grow.  The long drive home from the nearest nursery is odd when one is seeing so many trees, just there…and our pockets feel skint.  We understand the care and cost involved with growing, but still…it’s mad times for buying plants, or anything really.  We recently divided up our house plants and more than doubled the potted plant amounts.  We plan to take lots of cuttings to get started on growing more green air for our property, especially with our Mediterranean plants.  Lavender and pollinators everywhere, please!

Happy Spring Gardening whether on your windowsill, balcony, yard, or field.  Love, ~ Amor Milagre

Pollution Awareness:

We added three of the Dwarf Mugo Pines to this little front stone bed, recently designed to be a mini potager, a kitchen herb garden, as we have just finished our new kitchen in this area of the house.  The new terribly smokey/loud unrelenting pollutive neighbours have poisoned this possibility.  We’ll soon have to move the herbs, such as a thriving rocky row of sage, into the less sunny back garden soon.  It is most upsetting not to be able to fully finish, work on, sit with, study in, paint, muse over, and enjoy the massive scale garden renovation we began five years ago when we moved in (whilst also renovating our entire Rose Cottage interior).

*Give everyone peace, especially on their own property.  This easily preventable pollution needs to be illegal. If you smoke and listen to music, do it inside your own house.  Our food in the front garden is polluted and now inedible.  Organic gardening, and farming, only works if what is neighbouring you is not polluting your plants, soil, air, and water.  We cannot go out, open windows, breathe, run, be…or even have peace inside.  How…is this allowed?  We need exercise and air.  Their pollution has directly caused devastating health issues for our family.  Change laws to save lives.  Make sense.  Care.  Be kind.  Keep your own life in your own house.  Dreaming and working towards a home and garden of one’s own needs to be allowed to be enjoyed.  It’s hard work and expensive, every year.  I’ll post our garden before and after photos soon.  The changes have been great indeed.  We fight for our right to live every day, just as our neglectful world must.  Protest pollution on every scale.  Our earth needs protection and freedom to be.

We’re trying to grow healing peace for us…and for the bees here.  When in the garden, one desires to think of nothing, no one, but only nature.  That is healing, instantly.  Let go of what controls and pollutes you and everyone.  Live peace.  Preserve & grow goodness for all…this is true equality.

Amor Milagre Valentine Gift Guide

Amor Milagre Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2025 amormilagre.com 2
Amor Milagre Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2025 amormilagre.com  Stationery and New Wax Seal Stickers

There are many ways to express your love for yourself, your family and friends, and the universe.  Here are a few ways I encourage peaceful, respectful living:  loving stories, romantic stationery with old world charm, and nature-inspired artwork.  This week, we’re making some Valentine’s Day decorations, and I’ll post about those soon.

All of my books are love letters.  The Hoppy Bunny baby book and my seasonal novels, The Love Letter Diaries, are especially heartwarming.  My beloved family of book characters spans all reading levels, so if your Valentine is new or growing with every year, there is a story for you.

A new collection of beautifully unique wax seal stamp stickers releases this week.  Each design was drawn by hand with love, and every seal is patiently pressed into a growing variety of colours.  The artisan aesthetic and feel of these little collector’s dreams are transformative.  When holding one, or when tracing the raised leaves and curls, one feels swept back to a more natural time of ancient tree root systems and fresh air.  Time travellers, you know, may not agree with many things of old, but they like to keep the most endearing trinkets of each age and hold them dear.  I do not agree with many modern events either, but I put out as much timeless love with my work as the day (and night) will allow.  (I write stories in the moonlight.  I paint by the sunshine.) These collectable stickers seal your letters with a kiss of romance.  I even place them on my book covers sometimes, when special orders come in.  A new custom designed Amor Milagre Bunny sticker, embossed in gold or white, is now being added to the inside page of a wave of first edition books.  These little touches will be fun to find now, and centuries from now, for book collectors of all ages.  Babies absolutely love discovering these kinds of treasures, as do I.

My growing stationery collection greets some new designs this month.  They promote the asking of dates to physical locations again.  Even a friendly game is a fun way to get to know someone.  A candlepin bowling card is on my printer as I type this.  We tried it recently as a family date, and it was a blast!

All of my collections are intertwining and thriving together like a forest of grapevines and moon flowers.  Many new books for babies, children, teens, and adults will be happily released this year.  Each season going forward will boast a new packaging colour design.  This winter was a deep delicious garnet paired with tarnished gold.  Order your spring gifts now to find out which colours I chose for la primavera!

Stay well and warm.  Much love and romantic inspirations for a happy heart, ~Amor Milagre

Amor Milagre Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2025 amormilagre.com Loving Novels

The Loving Novels are explorations of the self.  My characters include all love stories.  Some of my favourite characters represent the LGBTQ lovelies.  I am writing a sweet ode-style post about one such darling, releasing soon.  My love stories are about real love.  They are not the usual style of story, I think, because I’ve never read a book style like mine.  Have you?  These people, and their journeys, are from my heart.  Being an empath, I absorb the world.  People effervesce their love stories, silently, as they roam the earth, trying to heal themselves and find small ways to express their joy.  Love means something different to everyone and at different stages of life.  What does love mean to you now?  Much of my characters’ adventurous narratives derive from my own inner world as well.  I write of what I wish for the world, for myself, and for my family.  My philosophy is, “If you design it, you will live it.  Surround yourself with love.”  I design beautiful stories and let their positive inspiration spill out into our home.  What path and feeling do you wish to design in this moment?  Dream, and let it be so!

My children’s books are sweet and respectful.  They honour the sacredness of childhood, the delicateness and intelligence of children’s innate loving natures, and the preservation of their kind hearts.  My words teach all the basics of language while encouraging imagination, peaceful creative problem solving, and the celebration of individuality and universal connection.  My illustrations are also available as art prints and stationery with many more pieces to come!  In future, I have planned for puzzles, fine china, toys, and other pretty home and nursery gifts.

Miniviews in the Garden

Amor Milagre Garden Design
Amor Milagre Garden Design.  It’s snowing…

This morning’s Miniview answers a mix of some of your questions.  They were the one-of-a-kinds, so I’ve grouped them together here.  I will post another to answer one specific question soon.

Amor MilagreGarden Design
Amor Milagre Garden Design.  Soft cheeks, so kissable.   Heavenly scented rose blooms…

Q:  You mention the word ‘hope’ a lot in your books.  How do you sustain hope during these uncertain times?

A:  Yes, I love the word hope.  To me, it means a possibility that we can choose and allow good energy to live, thrive, and spread.  Hope isn’t a mere wish or just an idea.  Hope indicates that peace is always there.  We just need to choose it.  Awareness and helpfulness are ways that hope blooms into a wonderful daily reality.  Dream it and help it come true.

Amor Milagre Garden Design
Amor Milagre Garden Design.  Can you reach me?

Q:  When will The Love Letter Diaries books be available in audio?  Love the books, but also want to listen in the car on the way to work.  So calming.  Can’t wait for the next volume!!!

A:  Thank you!  All of my books have the audio option so far, except the Leona books as they are the longest.  I am still editing those files, and I will have that series available as a digital download audio option this winter at the latest.  Thank you!  They are my favourites as well.

Q:  Are you still making organic cotton clothes?  I’ve worn out that dress you made for me years ago.  The cream one with the embroidery on the hem.  We have some baby showers coming up and need more of those tiny outfits.  Are you doing custom clothing orders still?  I couldn’t find the option in your shop.

A:  Thanks!  Those were fun to make.  I have sold out of that collection of the little suits and dresses, but a few graphic toddler tees are still available.  I plan on releasing some new organic apparel collections after our atelier renovations are finished.  I do have magical nursery artwork, stationery, and sweet children’s books available.  They’re wonderful as gifts, and I can write a custom inscription, if you like.  Message me!  Thanks, Hannah.  I do remember that dress!

Q:  Who are the artists that work for you?  I like the varied styles, but I cannot find their names.  Can I order a custom size?  I’m interested in the person who does the pastels.

A:  Thank you, but it’s all done by me, Emmanuelle, aka Amor Milagre.  I am the original and authentic maker of my collections and I sign all of my artwork and books for each order.  Depending on my mood, and the medium, the pieces may look a little different.  I don’t believe an artist is limited to one look, style, or medium.  Charcoal drawings have a different energy than landscape oils.  You move differently with a special posture and time for each, but they all build on one another.  The same goes for books, music, sewing, home design, dance, and photographs.  I like to explore different forms of expression.  It’s just what comes out in that moment.  What does your soul need?  How?  They are all connected though, by me.  Yes, please message me for your specific custom sizes.  Over the years, I’ve made tiny to gigantic pieces.  I have many new pieces coming up!  Thank you.

Q:  How can I apply to work for your company?  I am an art teacher, and I’m interested in what you are doing.  Are you still holding classes?  If so, I’m interested.  I’m a bit rusty.

A:  Thank you, but at this time, it’s just me.  I have postponed all Amor Milagre classes and clubs until the pandemic is actually over.  I might do a collection of video classes later on that customers can purchase in my shop.   I was the only teacher when I held my classes, and I’m the only person in my company.  I do all of the different stages of work for my company.  I have plans for expanding my online shop to include a local New England shop later on.  I’ll email you then.

As for the rusty part:  Practice drawing every day.  Begin again…as if you didn’t know any techniques or any art history.  Use big, sweeping gestures to loosen up.  Relax your wrist.  Don’t think.  Feel it, use your senses and intuition, let go of all expectations, and express… Use nature as your forever model and meditate there.  (These are some of the things that I teach in my classes for all ages/levels.)

I encourage you to explore what you could offer in your own potential business.  You can also teach online, make process/demo videos, sell your art, and teach/volunteer locally.  Community centers and children/adults everywhere need good safe teachers.  Building up a community of inspiring teachers and thriving students is important.  Get involved in community projects…or start new ones.  Support the arts.  Thanks for your interest!

*This answer is also meant for any college students who asked if they could intern with me.  We’ve been self-isolating to stay healthy, sorry!  Hope you find that right fit for your credits.  I know it’s not always easy to find.  Stay safe!

Amor Milagre Garden Design
Amor Milagre Garden Design.  Dancers point toes to the sky!

I will answer more of your thoughtful questions later on in another one of my Miniviews (Mini Interviews).

In the meantime…

*Express yourself, paint with plants, and adore all of yourself.  Love, ~ Amor Milagre
