Art Copyright & AI Awareness: Don’t Wait 200 Years…

No Theft

In a digital world that has become an endless junk drawer, full of pirating thieves, it’s important to be aware that any true creative expression is a rare gem.  These rarities are to be respected and only associated with the origin maker.

Our homeschool art history lessons are filled with sad struggles of unique artists.  The artists were too often stomped on by the masses of uncreatives who didn’t have the artist’s refreshing viewpoint.  It takes the humans too long to appreciate us, the true artists of the world.  Do not wait 200 years to read my books and consider them to be a valuable inspiration for your daily lives, your peace, and your soul.  You harm most of us when we’re alive, reduce us to poverty, disrespect our high intelligence and skill, and often worse.  How many artists have had to scrape by, trying to live off of their pen, brush, and voice?  How many terrible people have made wealth off of creatives, only to leave them with a tiny fraction of their earnings, if any?  How many have stolen their ideas in the hopes of fame for themselves?  This constant violation of revolutionary thinkers and feelers needs to stop.  Real laws need to be put into place and enforced for copyright infringement.  All platforms must abide by rules that protect the originals.  Piracy of all types has been an age old terror, has increased in modern digital forms, and must be stopped.  It is only getting worse since AI and the delusional idea that everyone is famous from social media.  Fame is not real or meaningful.  Honesty, authenticity, integrity, original thought, and hard work are meaningful.  What you ingest means something.  Would you rather garbage or fresh air?  Would you rather a subpar fake or the real miracle?  Would you rather leave feeling sick or inspired to do something wonderful in your own way for your own life?  People get confused when they feel a connection.  They think that they must own it, control it, and take it over.  Why?  How?  Just smile and say thank you.  If you admire someone’s work, donate money to them so that they can make more little miracles to share with the world.

The content thieves are insulting and criminal.  Their theft is a violation of our original thoughts and expressions because what we do is made of us.  You cannot copy-paste a soul.  You cannot steal our minds, emotions, and the culmination of every second of our lives.  You have no right to a creative’s work.  You are the observer.  You may listen and dance to our songs, admire our art in your home or in galleries, and be inspired to do good things from my peaceful stories.  You may not select all, copy, paste, change a word, and sell under some other name.  Piracy is a crime.  It is illegal.  Plagiarism and content theft are crimes.  Copyright infringement is real.  You are not allowed to make quick money off of other people’s work.

The theft of old stories sickens me too, especially because the modern humans haven’t learned more than those of past centuries.  They have frozen themselves in the pain inflicted by every generation of humans.  New stories are just old ones, stuck in anti-feminist times, mash-ups or verbatim, regurgitating unhealthy formulas that set the rule for all of the modern movies, music, and books today.  My work breaks free of that formula and my ideas are my own.  If you knew my story, you’d know that there are no influences.  My ideas are mine.

It saddens me deeply to see old artwork being auctioned off for millions when, at the time it was made, no one would buy it for even a small amount, reducing the artist to suffering, illness, and pain.  Many of my past lives speak to me about this very often.  Artists, in general, are already living on the outside of society, though we are mirrors of its beating heart, shedding light and positive possibilities for the future.  Our sensitive awareness is a gift for the world.  Will they listen?  Not likely.  We’re only sometimes acknowledged and guessed at centuries later, made ‘brilliant’ or ‘genius’ by people who know nothing about us or our work.  Inaccurate tags in museums are studied by students and tourists, and mugs with iconic imagery are sipped on at breakfast time all around the world, yet…you are missing it all.  You’re missing us, right here, ready to be heard.  We can explain it while we’re alive.  We can make a truly positive difference now.  You can only guess at us later, IF our work survives your insane wars and ruin.  Then, it’s too late.

It feels impossible to be seen, or believed, in this time of incessant chaotic noise.  Sure, a few of you may brag to strangers in line of an artist acquaintance when you spot something artistic that you think you should like.  That is not what art is about.  What speaks to your soul?  What moves you?  Everyone needs to adapt a new attitude toward real artists.  We’re not quaint things to send a quick fawning over.  We’re not pets to make demands to.  We’re serious about our work.  We sense everything and convey it all, in the hope that our awareness of reality will spread and make waves to help.  We are not here for you to steal from, nor to suck the patterns from for your AI projects.  I DO NOT give my permission to anyone to steal my work for any reason.  See the disclaimer.  This work is our life.  Our family stories, our struggles, our love, and our ideas are only ours.  There are enough human problems, we don’t need fake humans causing trouble and confusion.  Now, do we have to teach children to not believe that anything online is real?  What are they working towards?  What has meaning?  How can one trust anything?  Who is real, what really happened, and who really said what?  Proof is already difficult to find without throwing more deceit and lies into it.  People already have trouble communicating and having healthy real relationships.  I fear for the future generations.  AI is a very bad idea, and it’s even worse at the wrong person’s command or misdirection to override safety boundaries.  The layers of lies will expand out of control spiraling into tragic consequences.  How do you pull the plug?  Do it now.  Prevent what it will cause.  Humans are not responsible, sensible, aware, or smart enough to use something like AI.

AI is a backwards step.  Humans cannot be trusted with AI.  The humans have failed to thrive together so they push further away from what they don’t understand…how to be a good human.  It’s truly sad.  AI may funnel and predict patterns, but it has no soul and therefore no true reasoning or empathy.  This fake world that is trying to engulf us is nonsense.  It has no meaning, and yet it’s dangerous.  For many, it is another wall to hide behind.  This world order change effects development and mental health.  No privacy.  No control.  No human interaction.  No jobs without AI?  I’m not interested in AI at all.  Political and religious change will challenge systems, possibly forming strange new groups.  Illness and self-destructive behaviour can spread quickly.  Laziness, a dulling/numbing of awareness and the senses, and a warped sense of reality is inevitable.  New dangers emerge.  How will AI, and the humans involved, be held accountable for crime?  How will it all be traced back?  Where is nature in this?  Real human teachers are more impactful than computers.  The memory works better by hand and unplugged.

Are humans ready for unknown connections, revelations, or obvious things to be presented?  Who could even translate such intricate combinations of information?  You cannot trust AI.  Most people lie to even themselves.  How will anyone know if these ideas are true?  Not that long ago, humans thought the world was flat.  If humans cannot understand new ideas, how will they choose which ideas to test and accept?  Ancient languages and codes are much sought after for universal answers.  There is a lot of misinformation being produced and it is designed to confuse.  Who will be able to decipher the difference?  What kind of webs will be woven?  Who pulls and twists the strings?  AI is capable to be an endless weapon.  Weapons that make weapons?  How is this allowed?  AI’s collected information may be helpful to doctors for diagnosing illnesses when medical systems have failed, but what are the dangers?  What if it is wrong, tricked, or tainted?  What if it causes illnesses and deaths?  On what scale?  How will the mistakes of AI negatively effect the group and the individual?  This is scary and unpredictable.  Think about this in terms of countries.  The world health and war situations are already out of control.  What is the bias?  How will it evolve or be stolen and tampered with?  Who is directing the ship?  Where are they directing it?  How great and widespread are the damages?  Does anyone have a choice in giving permission of their personal information being used?  We do not give our permission.

The world understanding will not continue to evolve naturally, and there are serious disconnections and comprehension gaps.  A recent temporary ban in Maine for AI apps is a start.  There are too many unknowns and the capabilities are immeasurably dangerous.  Sadly, once a technology is out there, people will find a way to use it, to get around boundaries, and catastrophes are inevitable.  Why don’t the villains use their time and energy to do something else, something neutral or positive?  It takes so much to be so terrible.  The anxiety that thieves must feel cannot be at all worth it.  They have chosen to be unreal to themselves.  It’s easier and better to be a peaceful, good person.  Why are we not able to vote against AI?  Frustrated, mentally unstable men have been destroying our world for ages.  This must stop.  Have you asked the children of the world what they think?  It is their world.  When asked, they scoff and laugh, “NO!”  They have much to say about this.  They do not approve.  Any sane person would not agree with AI.

*True empathy is the answer.  Nature and love.  It’s not complicated.  Peaceful energy is the key.  No computer can achieve peace.  It is our responsibility as individuals and as a group to be peace.

This is one reason why we plant wild gardens.  Nature is as real as it gets in this human experience.  Immerse yourself in plants, real ones.  Learn what being human is all about.  It’s not control.  We are a small piece of the puzzle and to destroy this world is simply nonsensical.  Why would you?  There is no benefit to harming.

Any creative who allows others to view their work is brave.  Respect us.  Pay us for our work. Find your own fulfillment.  You cannot steal authenticity.  Your stolen income means nothing.  Money is not really real.  It’s not worth destroying someone over.  Nothing is.  Stop yourself before you even think of stealing.  It waters down our work to nothing.  You are taking food away from our family.  Your products contribute nothing.  And, if you were inspired by another thief to pass work off as your own, well…I can’t even…why?  You can do something else.  Have some self respect.  This is disgusting and prevalent.  Prevention is needed.  Book sellers need to crack down on this hard.  Zero tolerance.  According to my research, Amazon is the worst at preventing and stopping plagiarism.  They also don’t seem to be good at holding thieves accountable.  Many sources cite that they’re just all about quick money.  Our experience with them is similar.  Businesses need to be respectful, trustworthy, and transparent.

These issues are a part of why I don’t sell ebooks.  This is why I’ve waited decades to release my books.  I am still not comfortable doing it, especially now in this time of digital chaos.  I have hundreds of books, and all of them are original stories written and inspired solely by my authentic life.  I make endless artwork.  Holding a book in your hands and feeling the edges of a painting are specific sensations.  Screens do no such thing for a person, and they are bad for your brain.  Can you feel the energy of the artist?  You have to buy the books from me.  I ship my art directly to you with notes of thanks.  You sense me there.  Hopefully, some part of humanity and respect gets through with each order.

Respect for artists of all kinds has always been lacking.  It’s not easy.  It is the hardest job to make something out of nothing.  We’re magical in that way.  Is this why thieves steal?  Out of envy?  Do they really wish they had this ‘easy’ wealth of ideas keeping them up at night, pestering them when they do the dishes, and interrupting their thoughts with new sounds and dialogue?  They don’t know what it’s even like to be ‘inspired’.  It’s a different kind of life.  My husband watches me in this realm that I struggle to exist in.  It’s not like the life of the audience.  I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.  Artists are so because we have to be.  We were born like this.  It is our soul, every lifetime.  It comes to us.  It is us.  I am never bored, but I am always exhausted.  Being an empath, with this world, is exhausting.  Illness ensues.  Artists generally struggle, and for someone to come and pick up and sell our unique bag of miracles, after we’ve made it, carried it, and tried to sell it ourselves, is a crime.  I have never ending ideas, and all of them are mine.  This plethora of work doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t miss one.  You cannot sneak in and take even one.  Each of of my original ideas is connected and builds to form another.  To steal one work is to steal them all, and any theft is a crime.  I had intended to help the world with my work, but my ideas must be respected.  You’d miss artists if they all hid themselves.  It would be a less colourful life.  Maybe it would be good for the fact that everyone would be less distracted and have to get to know themselves?  No shows to watch.  No music.  No plays.  No bedtime stories.  No beautiful homes and gardens.  Nothing.  Would you like that bland world?  Many artists have already gone on strike.

Thieves:   Turn around.  Go the other way.  You are like suffocating vine weeds that impersonate and eclipse beautiful trees.  Vines end up in vine jail.  Do you want that?  Fines and jail time?  Clean up your mess, learn, be a student, take a class, stock the shelves, provide basics for others, go to therapy, and pay for movies and books.  Figure out your own ideas.  Examine your own story and emotions.  There are endless jobs for you to make an honest living.  Don’t be greedy.  Be a minimalist.  Artists have to invent a space in the universe after inventing their inventions.  It’s nearly impossible.  I’m worn out.  Then, for you to come in, after we barely survive our own stories, and call our life….yours!??!?!?!?!  Insane. This is insane.  You didn’t write the book.  You didn’t paint the canvas.  What is the song about?  How did you come to that melody or colour combination?  You didn’t.  It had nothing to do with you.  We don’t know you, and obviously you don’t know yourself.  Thieves are lost.  If you want to inflict pain, punch a pillow.  Leave artists to their rights.  We have zero time to fight with you, nor do we want to.  We have endless lists to do.  We’re busy.  Now, you need to find something peaceful you can do, on your own, away from us.

The world’s forum has never made enough room for true artists.  Why do you only chase money?  It means nothing to your soul.  If you do not want to be only stuck with screensavers of chopped up digital versions of struggled-for water lilies, smirking Lisa’s, and bright tomato soup cans, then stop stealing.  You’ll be starving for new art.  We’ll have to keep it all to ourselves.  Original art is rare.  When is the last time you saw an original piece of art in someone’s home?  In someone’s home who didn’t have a lot of money?  Unless they are an artist, it’s rare.  Prints are prevalent and mostly mass produced junk, masquerading as art, dots coffee tables while off-gassing plastic pollution.  Corporate offices keep their one or two artist(s) in a cubicle somewhere in the airless sea of grey.  Those people faintly wish each day that their ideas will be used.  Design jobs are not even that.  It’s frustrating to not be able to do what your job title states.  After some fake enthusiasm and the trickle down/up the ladder occurs, they hear back that something new would cost too much.  No one would know how to make it anyways as they only reproduce the same poor initial items every season.  Why even hire them?  They love to boast of their in-house-artist as if they were displaying creatives in a zoo of rare talents.  Artists are some of the first to lay off during a cut.  Their talents are not being appreciated, or put to use, so they easily put them down.  Disgusting ignorance!  They didn’t even give them a chance to improve the company.  Art is not fluff.  The three managers of nothing are fluff.  The coffee-iphone obsessors, who stand around all day, are fluff.  People love the romantic idea of artists, but they don’t even know us or get to understand what we do.  People need to learn about art, artists, and art history.  Respect artists, our process, and our work.  If you don’t think that art is everywhere, wake up.  Art is everywhere.

I’ve had issues with idea thieves since I was young, and sadly I’ve had to hide my work.  I sit here, next to piles of unheard art, wishing their intent could be fulfilled.  I have only recently started to show the work I’ve been producing for the past few decades.  I’ve designed my work to benefit human and natural life.  Sadly, my infinite heart has begun to give up hope that anyone older than a child could be in their senses enough to absorb peace.  What these older generations have done to this world is tragic.  The complacency and ignorance of current generations is telling.  Peace is possible.  Let us be us, and you be you.  Not everyone can be the comedian.  Would you even want to be?  You can be happy just to laugh.  Believe me, being the laugher is much easier than the struggle of endless puzzles an artist navigates to solve each day.

Let us enjoy being us.  It’s already too much to have to run it all on the digital/business side after making the creative work.  Our brains are split.  Now, I do this…  Screens blast eyes.  I’d rather just focus on my journal and canvas.  There is nothing weak or unimpressive about artists.  We do it all.  We’d like to enjoy our own art and sense the magic that our work spreads as it travels the world.  Artists already don’t get paid what we deserve for our contributions to the world.  This needs to change.  At the very least, respect us and give us the pleasure of the feeling that our work makes a positive difference.  We also have the right to the time while we invent, and afterwards, when we release something.  It belongs to us.  Original work will always belong to the original artist.  I don’t seek external praise, but I do expect to be paid for my work and to have my rights protected.  We have a family to support and a company to grow.  My family will continue my company while adding their own unique collections.  We’re not going anywhere.  We protect my life’s work which is valuable to us and for the world.  My purpose is a calling to send out loving messages.  If you read my books, you will understand.  There are no other words in which they could be written.  They are my messages for the world.

Creatives and noncreatives can work well together.  A dreamer and the dream builder/supporter.  One has the idea, and the other readies the stage.  My husband and I are such a team, and we get along very well.  I design the house, and he builds it beautifully to last.  By the way, there is creativity in the functional.  Problem solving is very creative.  How can you think in a different way?

*Respect the rights of artists.  Put an end to publishing plagiarism.  Hire educated people to sniff out copycats.  Enforce copyright laws.  Stop AI from copying art, artist techniques, real people, and attempting to steal the soul because it will always fail.  There has already been a shortage for exciting original art in past decades.  What is our current culture even made of?  War and pollution.  It’s no wonder the unicorns hide.

*Remember, if you are in the audience:  Laugh, relax, and be happy…while you wait to enjoy observing our next invention.  ~ Amor Milagre

Oh, and take those guitars out of the vaults…  The previous owner would’ve been playing them, and making up new songs…probably about the silliness of humans.

Cottage Garden Flowers: June in Bloom

This is the week of the foxglove, buttercup, peony, iris, pollinator-loving wildflowers, lavender, and the first rose bloom.  The soft, pillowy petals are beloved by all wildlife.  It rains, bathing fuzzy stems in shining dew.  We visit each bloom as it unfurls.  The flowers are helped by glistening insect friends and greet the clouded sun,  “Good morning!”  This is an especially magical time to study and write about the poetry of nature… and of the self.  Our lessons are taken into the garden with a cup of tea and an umbrella.

Sense all around your lovely being.  How do you feel?  What kind of messages are whispering to you?

With each season, our garden renovation design grows in fuller than the last.  We replaced lawns with perennial flowers and edible organic plant foods.  We made fun pathways to explore under arches of towering stems and sweet blooms.  The low buzzing hum increases, and new winged friends stay a while.

Scatter seeds and wait for your gorgeous surprise!  Life awaits…

Synesthesia: Painting & Music

Atelier Amor Milagre Oil Painting Studio
Atelier Amor Milagre Oil Painting Studio, 2nd layer on Part I of the Library Triptych (Painting In Progress) Non-toxic Paints and FSC Certified Supplies.

Painting and music…my cloud of peace…

Synesthesia often feels painful due to our polluted world.  When there is a rare, open, quiet moment I can add some low music to the air and paint the sound energy.  This is a truly beautiful release of expression!  Let go….. and smile…

The homeschool portfolio has been sent in.  The kitchen renovation is wrapping up.  This coming year allows for more painting time.  New artwork and prints will flow into my shop in the coming seasons.  Many new books feature fresh pastel and oil painting illustrations.  The oil originals need some drying time before they ship.  There are many new ideas and sensations to blend, scrape, and brush onto the patient blank canvases.  I’ve been dreaming up stacks of paintings for decades…and now I have my little seasonal painting studio!

How do you love to enjoy your minutes?

*Health Tip for Painters:  Don’t just stretch your canvas…stretch yourself!  Music also helps to remind you to stretch before and after painting.  Dance-painting is needed to reach the span of my larger canvases…and it’s fun!  Sing, release, and have a blast connecting with your soul.

Grateful for these few rainy June days to help clear the wild, smokey air.  Love to all who are affected by the wildfires.

Love, ~Amor Milagre

The new cottage kitchen shelves are happy to be useful.  Unpacking after decades of being boxed up feels like a sigh…  We’re little Mrs. Tiggywinkles today, washing and making things nice…but just need to find…the iron…  We’re still a bit ruffly…which I do like, too.

Old World Romance

The tulips and daffodils have fallen back down to sleep.  This is the week of the lily, iris, dame’s rocket, and rhododendron.  We wash and organize teapots and teaspoons.

After decades of roaming and building, we are nesting down and nearing the end of our Rose Cottage kitchen renovation.  Here is a peek at the creamy, plum, moody cafe we made for this house.  All of it was custom designed by Amor Milagre (me) and expertly handmade by my talented husband.  I love these shelves!  Return to sense more of this kitchen as sofas and chairs dance around the corner, through the doors, and rest before new picture windows, framing the gardens in June’s bloom.

Wishing you a peaceful, cosy cup of tea type of summer!  Love, ~Amor Milagre
