Good Evening. Welcome to my atelier from this morning’s joyous work.
My newest collection, custom hand-pressed wax seal stickers, will release soon. I am overjoyed with these unique jewels! This time travelling artist sighs in the comfort of designing my own custom seal stamps. I revel in the colours and the transitions when two hues swirl together into a beautiful romantic pattern.
The importance of homemade art is not only evident in the bliss it brings to the one doing it, but also in the practice of going to museums to awe at those who have expressed their lives of feelings and stories. (Is there a regular charge or admittance for daily tours to enter/study mass-produced products in stores/factories? Does anyone brag to friends at parties about knowing and acquiring an assembly line robot’s daily work? I suppose there are some rather dull electronics that get screen junkies jazzed up. Are there auction houses selling mass produced t-shirts or mugs for devastating prices? I hope not, but I don’t know because I love being home, making things with my hands.)
You can sense clues of the SOUL in fine chisel work, indented to look like pressure on marble skin. You can muster up tips from deducing how colours were mixed, with what kind of tools, and applied to what material? What was the idea? How could anyone, even the artist, even know? What were they feeling? How do I feel sensing art? How exquisite it is to ask questions, to be interested! Art is full of mysteries…mostly never solved, often speculated about, but still very much loved and interesting on a mass scale. To appeal to a crowd, people do not have to bring home identical objects. That is not special. People love ‘one of a kind’ because each person is one of a kind. People are intuitively drawn to, and love, themselves. I design my growing garden of collections to remind everyone that they are special and wonderful because they are the only one like them. A soul cannot be replicated. These seals are each completely different and there is no way to make them the same. I love that. My hands pulse because I’m alive. Auras fog air. Nothing is ‘perfect’, and that is beautiful. The lovely thing about the process of making artwork, music, anything…is that you are connecting to your inner self, and through you, you connect to every piece of dust in this universe. Art is meditation. Art can bring peace to all. We are all art.
My artwork, and especially these wax seals, can be sensed in various ways. The giver, the receiver, the textures and visuals alone, and the past are all present within each hand-crafted piece. Making handmade artwork inspires more art, in every direction, for the artist and anyone who comes into contact with it. Collectors will adore the attention to detail woven throughout my collections. These seals appear in my books, logos, and packaging. New packaging includes hand-embossed seal stickers with a darling Amor Milagre Bunny design, in gold and white. For me, bunnies are symbols of hope, hopping around, spreading love. My first childhood friends were real garden bunnies, tiny brown ones. They’d sit and chat with me for a spell. I am endlessly inspired by nature, and there are quite a few bunnies grazing about in my shop, keeping me company. More Bunny Books are coming soon!
Care and artisan craft goes into every order. I design to give something special. These stickers are being sweetly placed into every one of my signed first edition books! Now, and years from now, these timeless capsules will bring smiles, I hope, to the finder! Children know the best things to be excited about. I pay attention to, and remember myself, what excites children. They love magic. They love Love. It is the most important thing, love. Magic is just love, loving possibilities for the every day. I paint in, write in, emboss in, and seal in magic to all of my little trinkets for the universe. I send magic to you now. Did you feel it? Are you smiling? At least inside? Ok… we’ll practice that… Magic takes practice, for some, so that is why I’m so focused on magical details. Breadcrumbs of golden star and silver moon dust…to follow back to your own beautiful soulful expressions. You have much positivity to share…just remember you do, and you do.
Small companies are hardly seen in this modern greed-based world, which means that magic and love are not as readily available to inspire positive childhoods and days for all ages. I’ll never stop painting, writing, and making things by heart. Real art is what makes a life’s work fulfilling, meaningful, and worth the time and energy it takes to craft by hand. It’s not only about the end result, but it’s also about what the artist puts into their pieces. How they feel affects how you feel. I feel at peace when I work. I send that peace to you.
Not only is this time-honoured tradition beautiful in result, but the process is thoroughly soothing to practice and unwind into each week. My custom stamp designs will release every season. This new Rainy Day Umbrella for spring joins my previous Amor Milagre company logos-Loving Home and Empathic Goddess in my collection release. I plan to grow these options for all occasions. Handmade art lends itself naturally to accidentally making more art in the process. These gorgeous wax drips can easily lead me to something new, just as Pollock’s drizzles became a monumental serendipitous moment in the studio and Van Gogh’s loaded brushes scraped and carved out a new style of painting to feel movement from texture. I have some plans for these stringy gloopy beauties… My family has peeked in to marvel at these elemental shapes and shines. Their first copies of my books have all been adorned with Mamma’s special wax seal designs. I write for us and for you. I can see these metallic orbs formulating now…melting their way into a story or ten, too.
