Water helps me to fully visualize vivid ideas for my books, artwork, our home and school, and for our days. Unwinding the senses to nurture the soul is an important part of my creative process. Here, we have our pale pink bathroom where bubbles wave gently like raindrops in my ear. This mermaid writes and paints ancient memories of the sea into mostly everything I do.
Clean healthy water is what makes our speck of the universe able to house us. No more pollution. Heal now.
I will show the before and afters of our Rose Cottage rooms and gardens all this winter through. I only have to tidy up the sea of photo files from the past several years! We’re happy to unwind now. Just be. Live well.

Unique medicine, and under sink, cabinets were measured for specific item groups. This efficient storage leaves the room free of clutter so Nature and Light are the focus, as well as my thoughts. This Farrow & Ball shade, Setting Plaster, is earthy and grounding, yet oh so sweet and softening. Pink shimmering velvet drapes continue the hue around to glowing sconces and cream lace sheers. The floating sink allows for easy weekly cleaning. We made the most of this little space…more later.

Nature guides us, connects us, and frees us. Our most meaningful adventures are our own. We prefer our wanderings as the annual festivals are too loud, pollutive, uninteresting, and exhausting. This autumn, we ramble out with the long waves and tumbling orchards, low tide beaches, hollow cold pumpkin patches, and our own cosy Rose Cottage bakes. Our Sunday mornings are for jack-o-lantern carvings and fall-themed word puzzles. We still have much to do, but it’s far less than before, so we’re enjoying our slow moments under quilted clouds and October breezes. Fun is easily found by accident!
