Autumn days inspire more handmade touches to deepen the richness and love in our lives. I embroider baby dresses with little flower vines for precious surprised smiles. Brilliant hues in nature taste delicious, and they look amazing on the plate or tray, excitedly awaiting to share their flavours. Family outtings to local shops and farms delight and educate about wholesome, meaningful trades and practices. Holidays are even more fun when you get out to visit children’s choir shows, craft shows, seasonal festivals, visit the reindeer, ride in a carriage, and walk together quietly in nature. We mark the dates and times on the calendar in case we are ready for the special holiday events when that day comes along. What do you like to do in your town for the holidays?
Our children’s book characters love exploring towns, too. Stay tuned…
Most of the year round classes and events near us are not at the right time for us or are not the right fit, so we’ve created an original series of Classes & Clubs to create a solution to the lack of community activities for local and visiting families. (Also, I’ve found that some towns aren’t very helpful to break into and start something new. We’ll keep trying until we have what we’d like for our family. Other families have told us that they found what they were hoping for in our classes.) Our classes in 2017 were so much fun. Thank you to all of the lovely people who joined us!
Our classes are calm, educational, fun, natural, and integrate a myriad of areas. They help a family do things lovingly together. They help individuals deepen their inner connection and expand their perspective for a ‘purely you’ art, design, nature appreciation, writing, gardening, and more!
Check our Class page for updates. I’ll be posting the 2018 class list soon so you can register and reserve your seat. The private classes and our FREE Crayon Club is available all year round. Online classes will be available here in 2018. For details, check our Class page here. If your community lacks what you want, create it!
Little locally owned organic grocery shops and bakeries, the size of our cottage kitchen, are cozy and enjoyable to shop in. Lines are short because not many can fit in the shop at the same time. They have just what you need and also what you want. It’s a charming experience and we haven’t even thought of shopping in the big stores. The little town communities help the small companies grow, and it’s great to be one of them. Our art and design shop opens soon, and we’re very excited to share our inventions with you! ~Amor
