Cinnamon apples warm a family after a Sunday morning expedition. ‘Tis the Season for new places and natural adventures. Hop along a bridge, buzz about the garden, and run into loving arms on the sand. You never know who you may meet along the way!
So much to see, feel, smell, touch, taste, breathe in, and be here at the sea. Little feet leave excited dance steps in the sand for the crabs and merfolk to try. Water reminds us gentleness is the way as she sways between shore and the depths. Any age can appreciate nature’s endlessly fascinating creations.
Steamed Cinnamon Apples & Sauce
Serve warm on cold days and cold on warm days, this quick & simple recipe is a favourite here on all of the dates of the calendar. Use applesauce instead of oils for a healthier life.
Non-GMO, organic, local ingredients:
Add roughly diced apples to a pan with some water for steaming. Sprinkle in 1 tsp of cinnamon. Add a lid and steam the apples until easily perceived by a fork or knife point, about 10 minutes on med-low.
Serve like this or lightly blend for applesauce. Satisfying on its own, as a side dish, snack, and dessert.
Add newfound locations to your favourites on your GPS to remember to visit again, perhaps with a picnic of friends. Applesauce is great for local travel and it’s baby-approved. Fresh air helps naps deepen and dreams be light.
