Creating light layers of good health in your life will inspire positive habits, happy daily routines, and a smiling, peace-filled soul.
Strip down each task you do. Breathe a rested air into every one. Relax your arm and jaw as you brush your teeth. Think positive fun thoughts while washing the dishes. Lay your clothes out with care the night before.
***Many products contain unsustainable (edible) palm oil which causes deforestation and harm to people and animals. Sustainable palm tree practices are happening so make sure to educate yourself to what kind of ingredients are in your products. Many products also contain harmful chemicals. Research the names on the bottles. One beautiful option is to replace unhealthy body products with sustainable raw coconut oil. To ensure the same unsustainable practices do not happen to coconut trees, make sure you buy sustainably harvested coconut oil. This creamy superfood is beneficial inside and out. If it is healthy to eat and sustainable for the world’s health, it’s healthy for your skin.
Coconut oil is a wonderful way to cook and amazing and moisturizing for your skin, hair masks, and more. Works very well with sensitive skin for whole body and face. It has a very subtle scent and lasts longer than buying coconut oil in a bottle. It comes in a glass jar that you can reuse. Your body can rest with less on it to figure out, heal from, and fix. This also means less allergies, less products for removing old products, and less allergies for those around you. Go bare with your skin if you can, but if you need moisture this is a wonderful option. Drinking lots of water and eating a colorful organic spread of foods helps. See the Sole recipe below, too. (Olive oil is a wonderful option too, but the natural green of the olives can stain cloth. This coconut oil is clear.)
This oil is helpful for colder months on hands, too. Mittens and gloves help when outside after oil application as it works as a mini on-the-go spa treatment for healing hands. Babies and children love applying after a bath on themselves and you. Learning the circular application motion is fun and soothing. Take your time. Tell your skin you love her/him. Your body knows how to heal itself. It helps to use less products, use only pure, organic products that are found in nature, and healthy for your body. Simplify your routine, budget, shopping, scent, everything.
Daily Organic Raw Coconut Oil
Use a well cleaned spice jar, seen above, and spoon in your weekly amount for easy access after a shower or for an evening massage. Have another one in the kitchen, ready to add a bit to a pan to replace vegetable oil.
Coconut oil is high in natural saturated fats which help promote heart health and lower the risk of heart disease.
Refined coconut oil is for those people who don’t care for the coconut scent. It works well for cooking, but lacks the coconut flavour. It is harder to use for the body as it takes a bit of warming up to melt in your hands. Raw coconut oil is already smooth and creamy, scented so sweetly, and tastes delicious. Both kinds are wonderful for the body.
A Mindful Journal, Fill your Body with Healthy Nutrients
A cup of organic bone broth and/or vegetable soup and journal one line about your day can soothe your evening, boost your health, and prepare another healthy day for tomorrow. Go over your top priorities for the next day. Do the most important one first.
Interior Design Tips
We receive many questions asking how to create home designs that look simple and clean. Many people wrongly assume a good design is expensive. The advice is simple as is the result. All of your small choices make up a design. Since we all choose items to surround us in life, by knowing yourself and knowing what mood you want to dwell in, you can choose items that live well together, are very functional for you, and have organized storage. Think of your life and design choices like friends that support and lift you up. Live in a way that you feel your best.
We like to “Live in the Light,” so we choose light objects that we use every day. We use the “touch once” practice of putting things away. We avoid clutter by using the “everything in its place and a place for everything” practice. The result is a calm home aesthetic that is functional, and ready whenever you need to use something. The house works for us. Teach children the same in gentle tones by leading with good, happy examples. It’s easy to put one thing away now than to put 100 things away later. Choose quality pieces that will last beyond 4 lifetimes. Do you love it? How does it allow you to feel? Is it functional? Limit what you have to basic needs. This is easier to take care of. From your wardrobe to dishes, what do you need? Make your needs things you want, then you will be satisfied and not over shop and over clutter your home, mind, and life. Sort and re-organize often throughout the year to update as your life changes.

This book is a wonderful, abstract example of this thought, and works so well as a classic picture book narrative. The Library by Sarah Stewart and David Small

I paint in layers of spots from a permanent aura I’ve always had. This is often compared to the historical art styles and movements of ‘pointillism’ and ‘impressionism.’ It is the way I see the universe.
Send a postcard, greeting card, letter, art print, or greet the original painting each morning. She sends peace and tranquility to all.
Choose organic fabrics for the health of your skin and body. Choose great quality cuts and sewing for an ageless wardrobe that is purely you.
Use a Mason Jar: Glass, large with plastic/non metallic lid.
1-2 Cups of Organic Raw pink Himalayan salt
1 Cup of Filtered Water
First, put two cups of the salt into the mason jar. Pour water into the mason jar, place a plastic lid (not metal) on top, and shake gently. Leave on the counter overnight to let the salt dissolve.
The next day, look to see if all of the salt is absorbed, keep adding a couple spoonfuls more each day until you have some remaining on the bottom. Seeing salt on the bottom of the jar means the water has absorbed its maximum amount of salt, and the Sole is ready to be used. (Make sure to not use a metal jar lid, or let a metal utensil touch the Sole.)
To use: simply mix 1 tsp. of Sole in to a glass of water, and drink every morning on an empty stomach.
This remedy has many healthy benefits, here are 4:
Minerals: Sole can supply the body with 84 essential ionized minerals.
Hydration: The balance of minerals you are gaining while drinking your water helps your body accept the minerals into your cells to hydrate you.
Detox: Sole is a natural anti-bacterial and can help remove bad bacteria from your body from all of the helpful minerals.
Circulation: The replenishing of nutrients can help stimulate circulation. Soothes sore muscles and helps with cramping.
Water is Healing
An evening foot-bath is a great substitute for a full bath if you don’t have a tub. Sprinkle some epsom salts into warm water and sit reading, painting, journaling, catching up with loved ones, or watching something enjoyable. Your life is yours. Love yourself fully all of the time, and you will feel whole all of the time.
