Fennel, Swiss Chard, &  Tomatoes

Non-GMO, organic, local, free range, grass-fed ingredients:

Fennel Bulb

Bunch of Rainbow Swiss Chard

1/2 C Bone Broth

Salt and Pepper

Olive Oil

Chop up the Fennel and Swiss Chard.  Use the whole plant except maybe slice a thin piece off of the root.  Add all to a large pan and add 1/2 C bone broth.  Simmer on low until stalks are al dente or soft to pierce with fork or knife.  (Cook slightly softer than al dente to blend for babies or soups.)  Plate with chicken.

Cut cherry tomatoes in half or slice up some larger tomatoes.  Add to plate with greens and chicken.  Salt all lightly, fresh pepper, drizzle lightly with olive oil.  (Leave out salt for babies and low sodium diets.)  You can also grate some parmigiano-reggiano cheese over the whole dish.

Baby Mash Up:  Fennel, Swiss Chard, Plain Chicken, Bone Broth.  Lightly blend up and enjoy hot or cold.  (No Spices until after 6M.  Check for allergies and ask doctor.)  Delicious!  This goes fast!  For babies over 8 months, you can also grate a little parmigiano-reggiano cheese over the dish.

Babies love to see that they have the same meal as you.  It’s important for them to see what they are eating and hear the names of each food, sounds of the animals it comes from, or where in the garden it grows.  A block of cheese feels and looks like this, and then we grate it with a fine zester and it feels and looks like this!  It tastes delicious!
