Rich, luscious, warmly spiced sauce complements a brisk day with a wave of a tree branch, and a falling of golden, red leaves.

Steamed Beets

Non-GMO, organic, local, free range, grass-fed ingredients:

Beets

1-2 C Bone Broth: here or here

Slice up the beets, leaving the skins on, and place in a sauce pot or large pan with some bone broth.  Spice if you like!  Place a lid on top and turn to low until tender and the beets can be easily cut & broken with a fork or knife.  Store in a glass dish in the refrigerator.

A great 1st food for babies 6 months or older.  Blend or have in small pieces.  Beautiful beet stained fingers and lips come free with this sweetly simple dish.  (Omit spices if serving to babies & children 6 months or older, or for anyone on a low sodium diet.)

Blended or steamed beets make an excellent accompaniment to other dishes as seen below.
