We continuously educate ourselves and strive for optimal health.
In 2014, we switched everything from food to cleaners to clothing to be organic, sustainable, and as healthy as possible.
We use: Organic, Non-GMO, Grass Fed, Local, Free Range, Wild Caught, Fresh Ingredient Recipes, Paleo-friendly, No Sugar, only natural sweeteners like bananas, and low on FODMAP foods.
As of Spring-Summer 2016, we have edited our diet and have added: more meat and vegetables, more bone broth, kefir, whole milk yogurt, 100% cacao and carob powder, etc. We have omitted: sugar grains (any unnatural sugar), honey, certain grains, regular potatoes and other starches, milk, cream, and soft cheese, yogurt with sugar or not whole milk, chocolate under 100% or containing sugar and soy lecithin, any remaining packaged foods, anything with certain nuts/soy, etc. We’re using less flour (spelt only) as well.
Of course, we keep trying to drink more water. We also consulted a special nutritionist about what each of us should eat for our own muscle and body needs. The results were good for what we’re eating now, but there were a few things like raisins that weren’t good for our specific muscle needs. All in all, we’re doing better nutrition wise and we will continue to learn more about how it all works together!
