Nectarines and a Dip

A great way to calm the body’s nervous system is to float in water.  A portable therapy pool is not very expensive, if you have space.  It’s cleaner than public pools, and it’s less money than a membership.  If you don’t have space, some fitness centers have therapy pools (warm).  If you’re lucky in your search, some very special spas have them with hour slot sign ups for $10.  When placed in a screened in tent, the pool is a calm, biting bug-free experience, allowing time to de-stress and heal.  With the ability to set the temperature, it is safe during pregnancy (93-98 degrees F).  It has endless benefits such as better, more restful sleep, rest for muscles and bones, lifts your spirits, clears your mind, great for skin, and also reduces swelling and illness.  Anything that you can do to take gravity’s stress off the body will build strength when out of the pool.  Posture and balance is better.  It is very good for babies and children too!  Later we can teach them to swim here.  (Always held and there supervising/life guarding.)  Have the water be still or with bubbles.  The benefits are innumerable.

A portable bath tub can do the same magic as well and with some maneuvering it can be used in the winter time inside as well.

When seasonal fruit, like nectarines and peaches, are able to be found in a ripe, natural state, it is a delicious, joyous snack for anyone.  Fresh, organic, ripe.

Non-GMO, organic, local, free range, grass-fed ingredients.

1.  Slice up some fresh fruit, nectarines here, with some high protein, no sugar organic whole milk yogurt.

2.  Add in some seeds.  Fruit can sweeten it enough on it’s own.  Real food is filling, healthy, and delicious.

Plant the pit seeds!  Open them up, sometimes they open when you cut them.  See the 2nd seed in the picture above is what is inside of the pits.  Follow directions and watch them grow.  I like to start them in the ground, wait for winter to help them grow, but there are other ways too that include grafting for a different kind of tree.  Just do a simple online/book search for basic instructions.

Have for breakfast, a snack, or dessert!  Having a high protein snack before bed is very good during pregnancy and for anyone if they are hungry then.  Children love this snack too.  Allow them to make it themselves, customizing their bowl each time with different, colorful fruit.  It also helps them learn which food grows in which season.  Nectarines = Summer (here).
